I agree, but for appeal to a wider audience and honestly if you think about it, it works for TV, but I really can't see it working in a movie. I dig on the slide guitar and whatnot they play in space too. Adds a cool feel to things.

Just so you guys know, there's a new international trailor for Serenity located here. I'm surprised that I managed to stumble across it and post it first. I don't ever look for movie trailers.

I agree with the sound in space thing... with any luck some TV company will see this movie and think "Hey, you know that'd make a great series!"

(er, aslong as it's the original cast, crew etc. etc.) and we can go back to having twangy music all round

I have seen the film twice and I will let you know that the scenes you are referring to that have "sound in space" are not actually taking place in space. Take a closer look when you see the trailer again

Joss has said on several occassions that he is staying true to the no sound in "space". Upper atmospheres, however,are fair game for sound.

And.... the banjo still has a nice twang to it in many places in the film.

What the hell preview were you watching? I get all wound up everytime I watch it. Looks phenominal.

i watched the one offered on a link from IMDB. the martial arts/dance scens looked over choreographed, i almost fell asleep watching it.

that bein said, it was one of the first trailors for the movie, and i'm still very excited about the movie.

but i've been excited about movies before....

Never seen it, ButI've seen the previews of the movie so I'll probably check into the movie.
