And it always fails at the worst possible time... seems to me, the closer to actually death you are, the more prone to fail it is.

It definate;y has a failure chance.

Here is a question for everyone...how many other professions have one of their best skills have a chance of failure/hardly ever work in PvP?

Mine never seems to work until I REALLY need it, because after a couple incaps I'm in trouble again, EEK feign death! *success* whew... If I use it at full health, I guess it's harder to pretend your dead when you don't have a scratch on you...

Alwase seems to work more often when I'm injured, never gone out of my way to test this but that's just the way it works for me. (Currently at Dirty Fighting 2, fails lots, so I colored the failed message red so I could more easily tell if I need to retry.)
