i had the same problem, assuming you ARE standing (hehe joke), restarted and still fails.....what worked for me was making a new macro for it...then i deleted it and used default and seems ok now...could have been a coincidence but not sure...gl though

I just started getting this today also. I'm trying to log out for 30mins and come to see if that does it.

Is it perhaps the 'if you went LD last time you feigned, you have to clone in order to reset the FD so it works again' bug? Well, at least I think it was something like that.

Yeah, I died and it started working again earlier today.

To the corrispondent, yeah I was hitting it while in combat and just waiting, with no effects. Like Id walk up to a wortt, shoot it with a cdef, hit /feigndeath, then just stand there taking hits without it going off.

Works now though, I must have gone LD once while using it and forgot about it. I hope that you can die and be rezzed by a doc to clear that bug also, because having the skill I depend on for life not work is pretty frightning lol

Might be a good idea to wait until the BH leaves instead of logging off.

they come back though lol, or go afk with a macro on, put on a crappy grinding pistol/vk/sword/carbine with a combat macro and go get a pizza lol

Can you give more detail on what you've been trying to do?

Without meaning to insult you in any way, I have to ask, you have been using the /FeignDeath special and not waiting for it to kick in automatically when you're incapped, right? I only ask because of your saying nothing will trigger it.

another thing to keep in mind is if you are being hit and need to feign death, do not hit 'Peace'. If you are, it keeps you from using the skill.

Hello! I am grinding an alt smuggler and I want to know why is feign death not working all the time,

i am in combat but it says it didnt work.

You can fail it. When you do you don't have to wait for all the animation. As soon as you get the message you failed you can just hit your standup button and try it again. It is possible to fail it several times before you get a successful feign.

The ability also gets better as you go up the Dirty Fighting tree. Once you hit master failing Feign Death doesn't happen too often, and if it does, you tend to have more luck with trying it a second time.

"On a side note, the ability tied to Smuggler ranks will stack with armor
but will not stack with overridable armor."
