Does anyone know how hard getting the Firespray will be? I want to be a smuggler flyin one of those puppies. Just would seem fun, I hear people say they are bad because they are big targets, but I want one

Master pilot is needed to certify, they are crafted by shipwrights who have 'assembled' the correct RE parts to make one. Very hard to get those parts together but last I heard once they can make one, they can make a thousand.

I heard it was 8 per schematic.

Hmm I had not heard that but I don't have first hand experience. What you say makes more sense though.

Be prepared to pay millions for even a low level ship, the resource costs to make chassis hurt and components add up as well.

Deloo has always been a good priced DE & I expect him to continue that. I have put an order in with him for 1 of each ship (including theKSE)& one of each RE Level 10 component & various sub-components.

Maybe it is bad I don't ask the prices, I just say "Build it" ... I bet I will be poor by the time I am fully outfitted.

I am going rebel!

At least to start off with! I really wanted the YT when I first read about it and especially after seeing it in the beta!

Now that I have thought about it tho I am thinking that the way I have been playing my smuggler I would have to change too muchof who he has become to play the fence line hopping smuggler! I think that I have settled nicely into the Rebel Smuggler and I just hope that there I can find a niche!

I reserve the right to change my mind tho!

There are some great nonfactional ships that I am sure I could get used to!

Blah, millions for a low level ship I like that though, then it's not like the dumb ground based everyone has the best stuff. I'll just make a ton of cash before hand, and level up pilot with crappy stuff

Its actually very, very difficult to say.

If we had some hint as to how (IF) SoE plans to integrate smugglers with JTL, then we would have some idea as to which course to take.. Some how, I have this feeling that we'll be forced into the Neutral role, even if our profession is factionally orientated.

I, personally, really want to go rebel. Its a Y-Wing thing, to be honest. My guild being a Rebel PvP guild doesn't help matters much either. However, if they dare strip down the smuggler to neutral only (which is appropriate) then I would be left redoing all my pilot skills.

I still have two days to decide, so I'm not rushing.

However, about the starships, I would imagine the first runs of YTs will cost at least 10-20 million per. Our only saving grace will be when the less-than hardcore grinders catch up with the uber hard core shipwrights, and kill the prices (unless you're on Nartius, where they're already price fixing - thank the Force for guild grinders ).

Eh.. I don't know. As much as I love the YT-1300 modelling, in-game it isn't anything comparable to something we would want or use as a smuggling vessel (it's slow, poorly-handling and.. slow). And since none of the other Nuetral ships do it for me, I may go the Rebel route. Their ships are better all the way up the tree, and the missions to get them are less broken.

I'm willing to let the -1300 go in hopes that some mythical smuggler revamp heralds something more smuggler-worthy, like perhaps a YT-2000 or YT-2400.

personally, I like all the neutral ships better than the factioned ships...

Smuggler's Alliance, of course, that goes wihtout saying that this is almost what we've been waiting for...

Freelance Pilot is closer to a viable criminal faction than the ground game ever got, with the exception of early early development.

As far as npcs go, you can attack ANYTHING you want, imps, rebs, hutts, valarians, blacksuns, you name it you can kill it. you can help a hutt kill a blacksun, then kill the hutt... anything goes (just don't accidentally shoot a corsec gunboat in your n00b ship, it doesn't end well)

All in all, I think The Freelance Pilot is a lot more of what smuggler's have waited for, just in a different profession. So I've got Smuggler for my title, and I can actually do things that a smuggler might do, I get to interact with people a smuggler would interact with (now all we need is for jabba to hand out space based smuggler missions), and I can do so in several very cool ships. Hopefully the smuggler revamp will come, but I think I'll find myself asking for it less... crap, don't let the devs hear that

I am. The YT-1300 and being a master smuggler is/was all that I wanted out of this game.

That and owning my own planet with a group of pirates/slaves to do my bidding.. but thats more of just a pipe dream.
