It has been a while since I posted so just threw that out. And you are right, Caylin, this should not go in the poll thread.

As I stated these are my feelings. And do not ammount to a hill of beans. I know this and accept it, I think I figgured that out around the time I was begging for a job while living out of my car many years ago when I was in my 20's, what I want is not what always happens. Hence the futility of argument and hence the reason I tend not to argue, just discuss.

And if the profession becomes what I don't want I will simply move on. I will not complain about it on the boards or make any big deal out of it, just move on. It is what adults do. I play the game for fun because I work 60 hours a week and don't want to work in a game. If the profession turns into a job, I move on to something I find more fun.

Now enough of this, we have wasted too much space in this poll already.

I vote A. I don't want to have to search all over the galaxy to find one weaponsmith or armorsmith that sells the high end AUK/WUK. The fact that they already play to big of a roll in our profession is obvious to most, and it doesn't need to be given more emphasis. That will only make me pay more to buy the kits, and charge more for the slice, and I will still fall into the randomness because the devs won't take that out. (check out Doc buffs i.e., they can have the best buff pack on the server, and they can buff your stat for 800, I guarantee that the devs want the randomness to remain in the game). Last I checked, artisan was not a prerequisite for Smuggler, so we shouldn't be experimenting on anything.

Review:

Don't make resource quality play a roll in the AUK/WUK - this only makes them cost more for us, as well as making them (the good ones)more difficult to find, and we will still fall under the random effects of the slice.

Don't make experimentation for either the crafter or the smuggler. It might make the unit more reliable, but it will all still remain random in the end.

The random aspect of it won't be removed by adding any resource quality or experimentation, it may be alleviated to a small extent, but the devs aren't going to let us control the outcome, or there would be no risk in the slice.

It is obvious to me as I said before that changing these things won't help us at all, it will only make it more difficult for us, and more lucrative for the crafters,we will continue to get both high and low slices (even with the best gear).

I would have t say B also. Hard work and very good resources should be rewarded with good slices

Basically, I would like to have some way to differentiate my services so that people would know what they are paying for. Also, this would make the spice market even out (more money for better spice rather than the 3k for a crate of muon I saw last night... grrrr...It's probably rat posion!)

Im tired of getting 18% slices on Krayt Weapons when Im using 99.9% clamps, knives, and WUK's.

If someone cares enough abouttheirtradetomake and useonly the best tools, there should be some advantage to it -plain and simple.

A with a provision for B, if it was only our tools that experimentation/quality mattered about (not wuks, auks.) Frankly I see it as an impediment to my enjoyment if I have to rely on weaponsmiths/armorsmiths to invest high quality ingredients in something they make for just our class. It further compartmentalizes the products they can make and have to dedicate valuable resources to and I don't know how many of them would actually want that. I personally wouldn't mind it at all for our tools, however.

More important to me would be having experimentation on spices actually work. I could be perfectly happy with only a change to the spice tree, not slicing.
