maybe not...see Mistagents thread and hold your breath another few weeks...can't turn any more purple than some of us already have. I'm going to place a small wager on this one...but not mortgaging the house.

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Two years of "Soon"(TM), a harsh bunch of lies.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie"

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Dancers can't smuggle and neither can I.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Why are there Jedi, I don't know why.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."

Can you post a link to MISTagent's thread? I can't seem to find it.

Thanks!

Expansions are part of the generic MMOG business model that SWG has adhered to; it's basically a requirement for them to develop and release them. There is a seperate team working on the expansion, so while members of this team could have potentially made a difference in other areas, since the restructuring of the developers into the current team structure/additional developers being taken on, this expansion (theortetically) will have had next to no effect on the continued development on LIVE, the CU team (the largest team out of them all I believe),and the other teams assembled.

Obviously I wish our revamp wasannounced, entirely designed and just awaiting therelease of the CU to be implemented, but that's not the case. It's not been the case for a very long time; as a result I'm willing, if not forced, to look at this new expansion with fresh eyes and be gladfor the content in it.

One can only hope (I seem to have used this word quitea lot recently, seeminglyto the dismay of some of you ) that this extra content will bring with it many more opportunities to exercise our own content onto once our time comes.

I'm sorry, but I just can't get excited about one planet, digging holes in asteroids, and more presents for the already spoiled and off-balance Jedi. I can't see spending money on this -- especially while still playing in a broken profession. As I think about what I want smugglers should be, I can only say:

Would someone get this walking carpet out of my way?

Im guessing the jedi present you are talking about is the new ship? I honestly dont believe that this ship will be restricted to just them. Its just the name of the ship, what its called in the EU and movies and they are just being consistant. No way would they make a special ship for 1 class, especially if you have to buy the expansion just to get it.

(if you meant something else, my bad )

Altimor,
All I can say is, they made the mistake in naming the profession "Smuggler". We smuggle nothing. They would have been better off calling it "Scoundrel". As it is now, all we can do is hotwire and sell drugs...

And we also have three useful (none of them being some "I win" button but all of them useful at least in specific situations) pistol skills, a feign death ability that IS useful in PvE *and* a market for dealing with factionperks / faction points (anyone claiming there is none: After the GCW revamp I sold factional installations worth ~ 400k faction points in just one day without even advertising that I work on that buisness, all I needed was to use my master smuggler title for a while in a popular location and the tells came in).

I know this opinion is not popular here (one star bandits, feel free, I don't care about the rating ) but other than the fact that this profession has a wrong title this profession comes with a nice portfolio of unique useful abilities, I still would schedule several profession revamps before touching smuggler as they are in a far more sorry state.

I agree. My only point WAS that we are called Smugglers. It would make a great class if it was named something else.

I would rather be out there dodging Imperial Patrols and fighting off Bounty Hunters than standing in a Starport selling faction. To me, it is not the money the profession brings in that determines its worth. It is wanting to play the class when I log on every day. I don't really want to play a merchant.

this new expansion has been slaped together. They just had all this stuf laying around and they just decided that they could fit it all onto a single CD and sell it as a expansion.

I think the new expansion lacks a lot.

Exactly. In protest, I refuse to refer to this as an "expansion." To me, this is nothing more than a bigger-than-usual publish that's going to cost everyone $24.99.

To be fair, this expansion will make the Wookiees happy, and the Jedi's happy.....

I just didn't realize that Wookiees and Jedi were sad.....

Yes, the world is topsy turvey and there is nowhere to run.

Now I wouldn't go so far as to say I was being optimistic...but I suppose everything is relative.
