No way. I'm a smuggler, not a terrorist suicide-bomber. Furthermore, I'm also aselfish businessman and not about to martyr myself for "friends" (or as I like to call them: "Business-Associates").
Haha, I really wasn't thinking of this skill in a heroic way, but I see where you're coming from. I was thinking of this more on the lines of defense. I hope people dont think im asking for us to be terrorist, butthis issomething that's been done time and timeagain inthe movies and in the books. Again, i'm perfectly happy with FD mind you...but if we have to loseFDl, then I want something useful.

While I like the idea here, the execution reminds more more of a big purple displacer-beast than a smuggler. I like the premise, though.Maybe something to better represent our guile rather than technology (that anyone could conceivably use)? More of a "Hey, look over there! It's Elvis!" kind of thing. Upon a successful roll (modified for DF rank and obviously much better for masters), we'd be untargetted and be temporarily invisible for a period of time (to be determinedby skill level). Like Panic-Shot, any further attacks on our part would break it (so having /ui action clearCombatQueue;/peace integrated into the command would be nice).
I like it, but it would be very hard to represent a Smuggler's guile without the use of technology in some way. This is not my vision, just ideas or what ifs.

Suicide would NEVER be in game.
The name reflects killing ones self. There are little kids that play this game and having a move called suicide... that would not sit well. I know I wouldn't want my kid playing a game where he could kill himself... other peoples a whole different story.
A different name possible, good ideas, but not suicide.

I'm not a big fan of suicide because our goal should be to stay alive
Decoy however is how I've been thinking lately, but how to make it plausible is a different beast entirely.
How am I going to fool a guy who is beating on me with a 2h broadsword with a holo image? I don't think it would work well.
It is however an active approach to solving the problem of feign death and I think if we push for something that keeps us active in the game instead of chillin' and talking smack with someone who is screaming 'exploiter' at us.
Keeping a skill useful while maintaining those primary motivations. Surviving and getting the hell away.
Yeah, I figured something like this would have to be done prior to combat. lol, it would be really...well,dumb, for a player to be knocked downto the ground and then to magically be replaced by a decoy. But yeah, im just thinking of examples of useful skills.

So a "Hey! Look over there!" would pretty much replace Feign as it is now for PvE, but since we can't use it to rest up and heal, it'd clearus offmob hate-lists (and thereby be less of a problem for grouping). It would also beless invincible in PVP whilst adding some value for those of us that don't want to be black-rot griefed.
