Well personally you can still work for the Hutts, I don't think you would fly their ships in JTL unless your were. The only difference is you don't get a Hutt symbol by your name, no faction perks (not that imp/reb have any to shake a stick at IMHO), but you get Hutt faction and will probably run Hutt missions. So all in all you have a half a$$ version of a 3rd nuetral type faction.

any thoughts??

Good idea. But it shouldn't be determined by voting, but by fighting. Have 8-12 objectives that need to be fought over on each planet, with control determined weekly, similar to the checks on player city status. Controlling every objective brings control of the planet. Moreover, each objective includes a zone of control, with game-level manifestations of the control evident in game (eg, increased stormtrooper inspection presence, automatic inspections at starports/shuttleports, inability for faction personnel to place harvesters in territory controlled by the other side/substantially decreased maintenance fees for players of the owning faction on their bldgs/harvs, etc.)

That would give everyone something to fight over: access to areas and resources andsecurity from harassment by the other side. Give neutrals an ability to operate as a black market within these areas and bingo! you've given the smuggler profession a raison d'etre. And then it raises visibility and gets them on the BH terms. Sprinkle in some factioned targets around objectives ripe for demolition and you havesomething for commandos to do. I'm sure others could cook up ideas for other professions. Maybe find some way for image designers to help the criminal element avoid detection. That sort of thing.

I doubt I'm the first to propose this idea but there it is...
