I really do think a large part of the problem is, in fact, these forums. Its easy to get fustrated along with your forum-mates just by reading something you agree with or disagree with strongly.

But, the rate of development is so snail based that its lead me to believe that SOE's programming staff has no clue what they're coding or how to make editations to that code.

This game has one very strong thing going for it, its ability to be an individual among a society of players. I'm not just another freaking Cleric in PoT armor with a clicky rez stick. That's something that I doubt WoW or EQ2 will be able to provide.
