See...I didn't see any of that...
When I was testing on TC-Gorath...and I did a little testing every night except for that "11th hour" patch they put in at 2:45 this morning...any time I checked a recruiter (on any planet), I got base price for Imperial perks...all nice "round" numbers that coincided with what was on live at the time if you didn't take any discounts into effect.
When I looked at Rebel perks on test though, Rebels were getting the "winning" CoA bonus of 10% FP boost. And they were getting the 30% discount for losing (which they were losing on each planet). And that 30% was, I assumed, being incorrectly figured because when I did the math and compared the bases and such to the same items on the Imperial side, it came out to like a 34.1xxx% discount...
I dunno...
I guess it's just something I'll have to get in game and work out for myself after I see it in action...

Ok I think both cost formulas that have been posted are incorrect and here is why -
Initially, Rebels were up 4 to the Imperials 2 on Naboo on Ahazi and the cost of a Fwd Outpost was 22500 for a Rebel Master Smuggler. Then the Imperials got up 20 to the Rebels 13 and things got cheaper for the Rebels. According to the first formula, a Fwd Outpost should have cost (1+2 x 13/20 x 7500) = 14625. However the price was 17500 fp so this cannot be the correct calculation. According to the second formula, because the Rebels went from winning to losing, a 30% discount should have kicked in for the Rebel side making the Fwd Outpost cost 15750 . . . derived by the calculation 22500 x 0.7. However, this is obviously also an incorrect calculation because the price was 17500. Is anyone able to help me with this problem? Thank you.

What if the CoA bonus is always active for the winners of the story arc and the discount for the loosing side in relation to the bases?
So it would be quite possible that Rebels get both boni.

Very odd indeed that you hadn't seen this.
Everything on TC for both sides has been fluctuating at least since last weekends patching. like I said above, I don't know what the "base" costs for perks are for the imp side and for the different races, but it was always in that range between 1x cost and 3x cost depending on what your sides standing in the war on *that* planet was.
To check the "standing" go to a recruiter and the'll be a menu option wored (for rebs) "how are we doing in the war against the Imperial tyrants?" and the recruiter will tell you the point standing of each side. TC-G is down now, but if you make a toon on TC for testing dreven look me up on the names in my sig (Overt is the smuggler).. but you should be seeing this on Live today.
"standing" doesn't count for anything but perks at this time excpet for the 3 core planets where city control and NPCs are supposed to flip based on who is ahead in the war (again, specific to that planets war)

My prices came from TC and my spreadsheet has worked out for every value i've entered in it since sunday... nothing about my formula has anythign to do with a 30% "discount" coming from anywhere...
Apologies but I'm doing like 4 things at once here.... I'll come back and rellok at the #s here alter if no one else has figure it out.

Um...
You sure you got all that straight?
First I think you were buying a Field Hospital with those numbers....
a "base" price on the PvE field hospitals (when rebel has 0 and imp has anyhting more then zero) was 7500 for a reb master smuggler. When the rebs are winning a planet that would be 3*7500 = 22500. When the rebs are losing the planet 13:20 thats (1+2*(13/20))*7500 == 17250 which is close to what you say you saw but not quite right.

GRRRR I wish I new this before I just spent a fortune on new bases
Yes prices alter depending on which side is winning on a certain planet. I thought it was for the whole galaxy
Just my luck I went to an imperial controled planet. I'm mithed if I know how they work out the prices.

I think theres some confusion here about the base prices I'm using.... those prices are what I see on a recruiter as a human rebel colonel master smuggler when on a planet when he rebels have 0 points and the imps have anything above 0. That is after any bonuses going on be it racial (i konw none, but bear with me), professional or CoA "winners". The formula I posted that I was seeing in action only describes how my prices change based on planetary GCW standings. 30% discounts, 25% discounes, whatever other penaties *already* took place in the foumula that was used to generate that base price.
In otherwords, if you're an imp wookiee and your cost for an ATST when you're winning on a planet is 60k FP (just pulling a # out my ass) then I would expect the price to fluctuate for you between 20k & 60k FP depending on Imperials standing on any given planet.
Why 20k & 60k? for the purposes of *this* thread, I really don't care.

Basically, "base" price for Imperials is still based on the 30% discount from the CoA storyline...
So, Imperials will still pay 80c/FP for faction perks.
That means, with a "base" price of 30000 FP (Non-Smuggler, Human) for a PvP Detachment HQ, an Imperial Master Smuggler will pay anywhere from 1.8 mil creds up to 5.4 mil creds. All depending on the state of the GCW and what's happening on the planet where he's talking to the recruiter...
I think I'm starting to get a firm grasp on the new system.
I'm gonna go out on a limb though, and say I HATE this new system...
