That's what this game needs! Lots and lots of lava. Then it'd be a great game.

Actually it doesn't suck as much as people make it. I went for casual hunting with my dear wife yesterday and made 80k of xp in one hour of casual play. Had I been grinding hard then I think it could have been done in 20-30 minutes. Compared to post CU then this is a serious nerf, but the xp gain after CU was outright ridicilous. If you compare to pre CU then it's actually better now.
One thing I learned in Kosovo when we were making the camp was that the better people are off the more they want. Same thing here, people are now used to insane xp gain and has forgotten how it was at an earlier stage. Game has just become more balanced. Try go for a hunt in a group and see if it's really going to take you 6 months to get your template finished

Another important thing to consider is that the combat upgrade was introduced to place an emphasis on "group" play. Smugglers were turned into a pure combat profession, and made " the official crowd controller", for groups.
I dont know about you, but if I were still trying to grind/advance, i'd be very skeptical about joining a group for any thing. This almost killsanyreason to even become a Smuggler, combat wise...as your grind would most certainly be longer due to the lack of offense...pending your template of course.
I hate to say it, but, the Jedi...and i'm not speaking about the individualplayers here, rather the concept of, has caused this. Many of you weren't around for this, but this is the same way the XP "used" to be 15-20 publishes ago.

Well, as a Jedi, I admit I don't like this at all. BUT...if its purpose is to slow down Jedi they should've nerfed justthe Jedi xp, not everyone else's xp. That's bad forall regular profs and its horrible for the newplayers.
Personally I think the Dev, SOE, Lucus is trying to kill off the game. Any time everyone is bennefiting from something the development has been to nerf it. I believe they knew they shot them selves in the foot after the CU when so many people left and they didn't get as many new people when RoTW came they are systematically making it to where it's no longer fun for the populus and they are loosing money on SWG.
Look how unballanced the game has been. I don't see how what the Development team has done is really thought out when something new happens and CS is no help at all. BH are one of the strongest characters in the game next to Jedi but in the movie or the books BH never really hunted jedi exclusivly. Smuglers are now just pistoleer's with the ability to make weapons better (assuming you can find the part or buy it of a BH) we get no XP for slicing. Why do i have to be a Master Smugler to slice a weapon when it doesn't matter on slicing when it never fails? Even our skill sets and modifiers don't make sense. Spice experimentation 100? how long ago did they nerf spice crafting? The Development team really needs to sit down and rethink what miss matched in the game. That is if they want to keep the game alive.
Other things i found silly. CL 80 Durni. Oh come on when have you ever heard of someone talking down the street and getting malled by a rabit. 181CL animals on endore. OMG?!? But the DEV want us to hunt in a group but now they are taking away the bennifit of it. But I like their story oh you can kill something faster if you have more than one in your group. Sure as long as they are the same CL level as you. IF their weaker it's still like soloing and you split the XP as if he was an equil.
