Just asowning astock race carwouldn't make me Dale Earnhardt,flying aYT-1300 doesn't makeme asmuggler (or for that matter Han Solo).
This is another take from the c-forum, regarding this interview and my perspective. I'm still trying to get more info for all of you... These interviews sure have raised a real amount of hell...

Just when you think something can only get BETTER than it is right now...
I really hope "giving smugglers a YT-1300" isnt what they think we need also...
and that whole interview is a slap in the face to smugglers; the mostignored and abusedprofession in SWG ATM.
Something has to be done while i applaud Caylin in bringing up that subject in the Cforums.

Caylin, i'm pretty confident in saying that 98.9 per cent of the smugglers on this forum are behind you. i've peeked into some of the other forums, and i'm glad you're at the plate for us.

Oh dear lord, that bit hadn't registered with me. I'm not sure whether to laugh my self silly or curl up in a corner and sob myself to sleep! What the hellare they expecting? Smugglers getting into their YT-1300, sitting down at the controls, taking off then making various "meeeeeiawwwwn! pia-piawn!" noises?
It's tantamount to giving an adulta toy car and expecting him to sit down with it and go, "Brum brum!" as a means to get to work.

The thing I keep going back to with the devs statement is that they suggest us to fight along side Jedi's and that the community as a wholereally wantedto be a jedi! Where did they get this from and why do they find it "cool" to have a zillion jedi's running around SWG, even in this supposed pre-EP V timeline.....money reasons you say? Why yes, that is the main reason for everyone gripes. Lack of help, disorganization and a slew of other issues come in to play with the devs and SOE as well.
Also, let's check the number of posts in each profession forum just to give us a tiny window into what SOE probably looks at.
There are 400, 000+ posts in the Jedi forums.
250, 000+ posts in the bounty hunter forums.
100, 000+ posts in the smuggler forums.
This is what we are dealing with people. SOE probably looks at these numbers and says, wow, we really need to give the community Jedi's.
And while we're at it let's throw a bone to the second runner up, the Bounty hunters. Since these two groups seem to have the most heat.
Everyone else can just wait for another year...
