like 1 or 2 people tops lol. I don't advertise that I'm slicing but I do keep my name on search for when people want to contact a smuggler. I'm one of the top 5 oldest smugglers on my server, everyone knows me. So I have my usuals and my usuals tip me very well.

I charge 10k per slice except to guild mates and a few choice friends. I make all of my own knives and clamps since this is very easy to do. As far as getting resources this is pretty easy if you will just get in good with someone who can survey. Have them survey close to your house and when they get a high concentration of no-ferrous close by drop a harvestor or3 on it and you are set for a good while. This may take a shift or 2 but if the concentration is good then you will be able to make enough tools to make it to the next good shift. I also have 2 equipment factories that I use for tools as well.
As far as WUK/AUK kits go I have a deal worked out with a WS and an AS that gets me all of those for free as well. I bulk slice for them on a reduced rate and they in turn make schematics for me usingthe resources I mine. The only drawback to this is getting the chemical resources needed but if you buy grind quality you come out way ahead still.
I sell tools as well and from the pricing I have seen here I am doing well. I sell clamps, auk's and wuk's for 10k per crate and knives are 8k. I also have the ability to make crates of pistols so I sell those as well for people to use to level for 15k and I can not keep my vendors stocked completely. I will average about 30 crates of clamps and 10 crates of knives per day and the WUK/AUK sales will run between 10-15 each. The crated pistols will usually be about 5. Not gonna get rich but it does help to offset my other toons buffs and such if I do not feel like running missions.
I know that people don't think that the crafting part of smuggler is a true part but who better to make the tools of the trade than the person using them? I enjoy a nice profit form tool sales alone and I can do everything to get a factory run set up and going in about 15 mins so it is not time consuming. I do know that this is not a viable option if you are planning on being able to hold your own in combat but this is a "crafting" toon for me that has master architect as well so I avoid combat.

10k per slice no matter what the item or the quantity. It takes me the same amount of time per slice so why should the rates be different for bulk orders? I make my own knives and clamps and have a friend that sells me upgrade kits.

I charge 10k. If someone complains that it's too expensive but then they come back later, I charge 15k.
If they're impatient, annoying, or acting like a n00b, I'll make their armor pink and then say "It's to differentiate between the type of slices."
Free for guildies and friends.

I charge a couple of K's less for bulk slicing because it makes the prospect of someone actually asking me to do a bulk job more attractive. I'm still getting a tidy profit, though.

To me that makes little sence. If you do bulk slicing then you lose out on potential profit from slicing after they are sold. If all smugglers stood by the same price you would see less sliced weapons on vendors.

5k per slice.
Guildmates go free but they tend to tip. If someone comes with a huge amount of items then we gotta talk tips.
I mine my own materials and make my own factory runs so no real overhead. Tons of copper with me.

Anjou wrote:You're cutting yourself short by only charging 5k per slice.. I charge 10k and can easily make 2 million a night. I don't even have to advertise, I stand by the Cnet starport and the tells flow in.I make all my own knives and molecular clamps. I have an alt weaponsmith/armorsmith who makes my upgrade kits for me. I mine all my own resources to make them.Flow analyzer nodes only give a accurate choice like 50% of the time.. not worth it. Stay with the molecular clamps.
2 mil a night...WOW I may have to rethink my stance of selling only faction. I'm normally spending my time in Deep Space eye deep in reb fighters and ships.

8k normally
4k if I'm barking at a starport/cantina, which I never do
I also give people the option to gamble. Free if it's under 30%. 30% or over is 50k.
Largest tip I ever got was 1 mil for giving a weaponsmith a 35% damage slice on a far too uber DE-10.
Oh HELL NO! Damn Guildies I charge there a#$@$s if they bring me bulk, I can understand 2 or 3 items for free...that's cool but damn man you're not a slice monkey.
I like the "gamble" idea that's very creative, I might use it. I'm asssuming that's it's for weapons, so that's 40% for an armor slice then

My prices are the same as most here, I charge 10k for the public, free for guildmembers unless it's in bulk (then it's priced on a case-by-case basis). I've no fixed price for bulk slicing either in or out of my guild, since I'm notfond of slicing at the best of times and I hated bulk slicing the one time I did it. I'd probably look for about 4k or so assuming that WUKs were supplied - 50% off for the convenience of getting lots done in one sitting and not having to explain everything to individual customers, and another 1k off for getting the WUKs.
My approach to getting tools is pretty haphazard. I buy grind resources cheap whenever I see a bargain, and make my own knives and clamps. For WUKs and AUKs, it depends; sometimesIask a guildmember to make a schematic or the actual kits, sometimes I buy off a vendor if they're cheap. It's not very systematic, but it seems to work for me.
