i slice for 5k a piece for everyone NOT in guild.
if you're in guild, you get 2 free slices each time you come to me, the rest is 3k a slice.
Full set of armor = 5k discount, so 40k.
i tried the whole concept "tip what you feel i deserve". but i got like 2k and 3k tips mostly, and it was weighing me down. when i had a specific 5k a slice, i made 1 mill in a day (i know, pretty d@mn good business day).
and i buy my resources (molecular clamps, wuk, auk, precision knives)
precision knives = 2k for a crate of 25 (10 tries each obviously)
weapon upgrade kit = 4k for a crate of 25
armor upgrade kit = 4k for a crate of 25
molecular clamps = 8k for a crate of 25
if you know someone cheaper, please let me know
oh and, what do analyzer nodes do? i've never tried to use them, considering i do fine with this set up

Make your own knives, saves a lot especially if you mine the stuff anyway (i got like at least 30k of Steel in my inv)

Nope, just any non-ferrous metal.
And analyzer nodes are made redundant with Molecular clamps... They do give indication towards which wire to cut, but aren't 100% accurate.

You're cutting yourself short by only charging 5k per slice.. I charge 10k and can easily make 2 million a night. I don't even have to advertise, I stand by the Cnet starport and the tells flow in.
I make all my own knives and molecular clamps. I have an alt weaponsmith/armorsmith who makes my upgrade kits for me. I mine all my own resources to make them.
Flow analyzer nodes only give a accurate choice like 50% of the time.. not worth it. Stay with the molecular clamps.

When I did slice...can't stand it any more so only for friends...I charged 10k per slice and just shopped around finding cheap tools. I used to make my own but collecting resources and manufacturing tools is even farther away from SMUGGLING than slicing is...and twice as boring.
Once we can actuallySMUGGLE I will never again slice for anyone but myself and a happier camper I'll have never been.

Free for guildies. /winces at the guy who brought him a sack of 43 armor pieces yesterday
8k normally
4k if I'm barking at a starport/cantina, which I never do
I also give people the option to gamble. Free if it's under 30%. 30% or over is 50k.
Largest tip I ever got was 1 mil for giving a weaponsmith a 35% damage slice on a far too uber DE-10.

My guild gets free slices, if you're an allie guild you'll get a substantial discount.
But think of this... you charge 5k per piece... but if the persons in a guild then you give them two free slices and then 3k a slice after... so you slice 3 items thats 1k a piece.
Now... you said you were doing the whole "tip" thing and getting 2-3k a piece... that doesn't make sense that you resort to a route that acquires you less money...
NOW if you meant by people in your guild get the two free items then 3k after I can understand that, or even bulk slicing. When I have the patience for bulk slicing I charge 3-5k per slice, but if you're an average joe asking for slices it 10-15k, maybe more if I'm upset.
If you're a close friend of mine, it's a tip basis. Most I've gotten was 200k for 4 items.

i give my guildee's 2 free slices everytime they come to me, and if they want more, its 3k a slice.
but the guildees seem to tip me anyway. only the ones who dont tip are the ones who dont even say thanks (so i may stop slicing for them altogether)
but a guildee has a shop, and he comes to me regularly. he tipped me 350k last time for about 2 satchels of armor. (so thats 40 armor pieces, obviously he tipped me bigger than 5k)
but for those who slice for 10k, do u think u'd get as much as business as if you were for 5k a piece? as in, would you get more customers, increasing your profit? (so u'd have to have more than 2 times the amount of customers).
and i slice in MO, i may go over to corellia, thx for tip.

Guildies go free
People I like go free too, though they usually give me stuff in return
Smiths get industrial rates
Everyday folks get charged depending on their faction and ranks. Something I've started doing recently is offer this deal to Imperial Officers - either pay 20k for per slice, or pay 5k and pay me 100k should they ever DB me.
And yes, I keep a list
