Thread: Am i a bad smuggler
I throughly enjoy hearing about someone playing the smuggler role in a manner that fits one that hides in the shadows.

Wow. It's kind sad a fellow smuggler would 1-star my reply and not give a valid reason. Our community is starting to get as low as the galaxy communities.
that just plain sucks. ![]()
Don't give up, it is worth it once you have enough cash to get by, and once you have that it's about the only thing that makes it worth playing.
Five stars for effort. ![]()

Why would they need to give a reason for one staring you? I should think it obvious...they didn't agree with what you said or felt your post was not construcive to the thread topic.
Last I looked one did not need to post and explain why they rated sombody a certain way, in fact one can rate any and/or all posts on the forums without EVER posting a single coment or starting a single thread.
And just cause we are all smugglers dose not mean we must all agree with each other and stroke eachother's egos

that sure doesnt make you a bad smuggler... if anything it makes you a smuggler that is true to himself
no where is it written by the devs or anyone else for that matter (except some 1337d00d that wants a slice) that you HAVE to slice for them...
honestly the only people i slice for are friends and associates... and dont charge for guildmates or other close friends
so hey... someone comes up to you in theed... yo man can i get a slice?
honestly... i just say uhhh... no
smugglers are a cavalier bunch... we dont answer to anyonethats whats so great about being one
Had a guy yesterday asks me to do some slicing. i was busy doing something already, and stated that fact. said i'd do it for 10k. "uhh... do you give discounts?"
/grin "unless you're married to my dead sister, then no, i don't give brother-in-law discount deals"
One other guy, yesterday as well, did it with style.
"A friend of a friend said you might be able to modify something for me."
"Uhh... its not my normal business, but say, for 6k i might be convinced to take a look at what you got."
"6k per item?"
/nod
"fair enough, what kinda payment you prefer?"
"cold, hard credits, friend, on the barrel head"
we trade and with the two items he also includes 12k in the trade window. i felt bad, butt the slicing gods weren't smiling upon me yesterday. cause this happened as i began slicing.
"I hopeyou can make these pieces a little lighter."
19% effectiveness. 27% effectivness.
"tried to, but there wasn't much i could shave off without losing the armour's effectiveness, but made them a little more effective instead without increasing the weight, will that do?"
this particular customer i would slice for anytime, now, after the experience i had with him.
