I think we do, since the developers/CR people have done some very silly semantics hairsplitting to "prove us wrong" on multiple occasions...

I'd rather push for the development to stay on track and have Smuggling worked on than worry about whether the Lucas Arts producer is trying to play with words .

By the way, the answer I mentioned in the corre forum was that Tiggs would look into whether the interview was correctly quoted, so thanks for getting back to us on that Tiggs .

But....no one asked that.

I would far rather not being told anything than be told that something is almost ready/schedualed for a certain date and to be let down yet again, and again and again. Telling us about things only when they're certain is far less painful for us and more than likely worse for them.

I appreciate your position on that and you are kind of stuck between a rock and hard place between players that want information and Devs that do not like to give it out because things change.

But if you wait until its that late in the Development process to tell the players what you are think, there is a good chance you could end up working on an change that most people don't want.

For example, we get the annoucement that about the Obi Wan Quests two months from its launch and the majority of the feedback is Mustafar isn't the best chocie, we don't want another half planent like Kash, and Obi should be giving out quests willy nilly like that to everyone.

SWG Vault: Can you tell us when EXACTLY we will see the full Smuggler Revamp? And if you can't tell us, can you please tell us why?

Julio Torres: We are aware and sensitive to the fact that Smugglers need content to enjoy. We are currently working on this, and players should be able to enjoy the new content in November.

Could someone please let us know what the quoted "content" entails specifically? Is this a few added missions for smugglers or does this mean new functionality added to the Smuggler profession? What is coming in November for Smugglers?

What kinda bush league response from the community relations team is that?

You have a staff member out elsewhere who is clearly happy with talking. (and he's not the only one). While I realize ThingsChange™ the staff has put something out there, so you should be able to at least disccus it to the point he did, and not some "I can't say anything". And if you can't, if you have a few rogue producers (haha.. nice pun there! /wave R_5) then, well, better get them back on the reservation so you don't continue to walk around with fresh pie on your face on an almost daily basis.

This statement from Julio really bothers me, especially since its been 2 years since this game has launced and a Smuggler is NOT indeed a smuggler, plus its been said by one of the Devs that on THEIR OWN FREE TIME AT WORK, planned designed and implicated the BH mission because he plays a BH and the missions at that state were boring and unrewarding.

So if this SO CALLED REVAMP that has been promised multiples times ever comes it better be the most amazing thing to hit this P.O.S. game. I seriously doubt a smuggler revamp happens at all, but they might put in some features and call it good. ALA. Plan B of slicing, since they couldnt get the mini game version to work right.

I appreciate your response, but I fail to see the reason why no information can be passed. I don't think any of us are expecting a thorough description of the content or functionality.

Wewouldjust liketo know if this includes smuggling functionality added specifically to our profession.

If Tiggs responded with something like "there will be this and this" and when November rolls around and there isn't what she said, guess what the reaction will be?

Obviously she's not answering because things can change and nothing is set in stone. It's a good answer when you have no idea if things will turn out as they are right now.

Wes is saying that Tiggs' answer is to the question that he asked in the Corr. forums. So she answered his question here.

Which means that we won't know anything about the "details"until 2 weeks before it goes Live...yeah, that's a good idea.

Well, it won't matter anyway, because even if we find bugs they will still be published to Live, and if we don't like the content we will be ignored again. Even with positive and simple solutions, we'll get what you want which is far from what we want (ex. Slicing changes).

yay.

Thanks Tiggs - now we understand where you are coming from - and it means when you do release info we can be fairly confident that it will happen. I'm afraid Julio has long since lost his credibility:

He announced earlier this year AFK play would be removed in May - it's still here.

He announced a little later 10 new songs would be added in July - no sign of them.

He announced now Smuggler content in Nov - any guesses?

before they reach live and may not reach live at all, please read my
