The whole buff thing urks me to no end. Here is a profession that get revival packs. Gets to make the best stims. Which if buffs werent around people would buy. They make the best wound packs. Plus they get cure disease cure poison. In other words before buffs people still used doctors. We the players bought from them and used them on a regular basis. This was a non combat class that was routinely brought on group hunts. Dungeoning, and pvp events. Why did they need buffs in the first place.
Chefs managed to get their product upped over spice. Plus they totally devalued scout foods to boot. Scout foods are only given to dogs. Wait there is more thanks to such fine products as vasarian brandy they even managed to one up entertainers. Which is preferable take two swigs of brandy, or sit in a lagged cantina for five minutes watching and listening to entertainer.
Sadly every time I talk to another player about this they talk about buffs being in the 1000ish range. In my book that is still a mandatory trip to the buff line. Then I talk to them about the ridiculous food, and they say hey I need the vasarian brandy because people murder you with brain damage. True but if there were no buffs and no super food. You could drop some muon, and the guy would bleed himself white trying to strafe or eyeshot you incapped.
Anyone else feal that the out of whack buffs make the game I do not know pointless. When I can waste ten graul maulers at the same time. I know something is wrong. When a tka can fist a krayt dragon to death I know something is wrong. When the big event for a day is an instanced dark jedi fight in a mineing outpost I know something is wrong.
Dont slam docs too hard, that is a rough profession to make money in initially. I was a doctor for 10 months so I know.
There are only two ways for a doc to make money, buffing and selling meds to those docs that don't want to craft (like buffs) with a huge resource gathering expense.
When the CU comes they will be losing their primary source of income and thats going to hurt. Lots ofdocs will drop and we will need to support the ones we have left.
I hear ya, while Ive never been a Doc I understand the lost of income (most smugglers do). They need to find a balance though because everyone in the gameis basically forced to rely onDoc buffsand that's just as bad as killing off its usefulness.

I agree ana-mo-cara.
Do you know anyheroin users? The ones I am familiar with just lay around drooling on themselves. And if they go without it, they are complete basket cases. Speed freaks are where the real action is. Paranoid. Psychotic. Totally pumped frull of adrenaline at all times. And dust heads. Get a speed freak and a guy hopped up on angel dust to fight it out. Now that's entertainment. But heroin addicts....nah.
Did you offer to buy his/her bicycle for like $2.00? Here is FL we dont have speed freaks we have crack heads and if your at the right spot at the right time (or wrong spot at the wrong time)you can get TV's, DVD players, Tickle Me Elmo dolls, Cars, Children...etc,all like new and all for like $3.00.

Man, I can't wait for rancors to be terrifying again. =/
People should RP more! It would give them goals other than getting more cash for better weapons and armor to kill more people.

The problem is the majority of SWG players are only in it for bragging rights "I killed 50 imps today! Man I am so better than you!"

Ahahahahahaha

No really man, I PvP because I love to interact with other players in a challenging way. Combat is a form of communication itself, and one that I would love to speak fluently. I also like to roleplay, but not in a stiff, cardboard fashion. Not all PvP'ers are about their egos. They are normal people just like you and me, lol.

HA! i know those guys too. Random Crackhead walking down the street in broad daylight carrying a consumer electronic device that his "buddy" just "gave" him.But the thing is, he doesnt really need it so, since you look like a nice guy (readtarget)he's willing to sell it to you for 10 bucks. Although, that happened a lot more in Philly.
