Han escaped many a scuffle by jumping into the Falcon and zipping off.
we should (at least Smugglers) have the ability to do the same. i don't see why combat should prevent the boarding of a ship (well i can see how with the way they handle ship boarding in the game. since you have to access your ship via a terminal, rather than actually GOING to your landed ship and hopping in)
but still the idea remains the same.
we should be able to take off when we need to.
(although none of this really applies till we get Player BHs coming after us)
QFE! Right on!![]()
Jedi have been doing something similar, some of them hang out inside the starport, they've got a friend or an alt in space, piloting a POB ship they've been invited to join. Then, if they start losing the fight they picked, they just hit yes... and *poof* gone.

Has anyone read Tales of the Bounty Hunters? It was the second Star Wars anthology in a sort of trilogy. It depicts seperate stories of the 6 Bounty Huntersthat Darth Vader hired the Millineum Falcon. We all know who won that hunt.Boba Fett's story extends about 15 years beyond the incident on Cloud City. Han and him have crossed paths many times before and after that.However...at the end of the story...Boba Fett and Han returned to the planet Jubilar, where theysaw each other for the first time(neither of them knew the other was there, both of them were having something of a mid-life crisis.)Even though Han's bounty was long dropped, the two, out of instinct or habit, squared off again...and battled to a stale-mate. They had their riflespressing against each other, at point-blank range...it was a stand off...both decided they didnt really want to die, and called atruce.I know EU doesnt really count in some people's opinions, but I really liked this story, and I could see it being a tie in the end.Han Soloand Boba Fettare equals. Fett is to Han...as Vader is to Luke...One is dressed in armor and very intimidating...but everyone meets their match in someone.
you're failing to take into account Boba's appearance in the Holiday special

In a stand up fight? The BH wins. But that's hardly what a Smuggler's looking for, is it?
To a Smuggler, the win is getting away in one piece, and for that reason, Smuggler wins, I think.
Similarly, Han wins. It took how many BHs how long to run the guy down? And in the end, it wasn't Fett that got him. It was the Empire and a double-cross brought on *because* of the Empire. Fett never stood a chance of catching they guy on his own.
Now, if he'd manage to corner Han without anywhere to run, he probably would have come out on top, in a straight-up fight. But that was precisely the situation han and any good Smuggler would avoid.
Actualy Fett was the one who tracked him and then told the Empire where he was.
If you're holding a staff-weapon and you turn yourself around to look for something, that staff is going to move with you. Knocking the Fett down was just a big stroke of luck for Han, and bad luck for the Mandalorian for happening to stand within swinging distance of a man who doesn't know what's around him. It also didn't help that Boba was focusing on Luke instead of the Wookiee and the Smuggler.
My guess is that he had a mission on Luke and wanted to pick up an easy reward while Luke was distracted by all of those Jabba NPCs.
LOL thats a great pic with the sign!.
ahahahahaha
i made it my phone bg. thats just hilarious.
i have a pic of a stormie on the john. its just silly too.
oh wait.
as to the topic of the post (sorry, it was too funny)... Maybe I'm a little biased, buuuuut... HAN!
and as for Master Smuggler vs Master BH (same level) i would say BH would win.
Maybe it's just cause I dont know how to fight PvP, but i dont think our profession is that strong post-CU
Without a doubt, Han would have won again....1v1.
Boba was good, but not better than Solo. Remember that Boba uses surprise and trickery (and kickarse weapons), but whenever a smuggler is backed into a corner, you know the rest =)
Han can think lightyears faster than Boba...not that Boba is a weakling, don't get me wrong. He's cool as heck...but Han is the MAN.
Even Boba gave Han grudging respect in the Bounty Hunter Wars books.
What kind of smuggler talk is that?? Get out of our forums, lest you anger the Lady and turn her against us!

I love to hate on the EU, but I remember digging this story a lot. They were both pretty geriatric by that point, but while the galaxy had changed, they still had a score to settle. Good stuff.
