Thread: Great, they are going to be negating one of the few useful skills Smugglers have.

- Well we did have quite a few threads asking what the devs were smoking with the Chef brandy. Seeing as how it would completelydestroy the Muon market.
- We still have problems with imperial faction getting off when caught with contraband...
- Riflemen Posture Up used to work onsmugglers with FD.
I think those are the only times we have called for something to be adjusted because of how it affects our profession.

yeah but that's a testament to their stupidity, not your maturity level

What has that got to do with my "maturity level" now?

heh sorry for the confusion
you were saying earlier that we don't cry "nerf", but it seems to be the only thing the devs respond to. Also, smugglers as a community only complained about a few things that the devs have implemented ... the list Caylin provided ...
All I was saying was that the complaints voiced by this community were because the devs didnt' think things thru completely, not because we fall into the trap of nerf crying like other profession communities.
don't worry, i wasn't saying anything bad about you, but about SOE

Yep, about 4 am here in Austria meanwhile
4 am on the 3.10... I was glad that I didn't have to get up early the next day when I wanted to see the Bush-Kerry debate.

are you an American living in Austria or are you Austrian?
Either way, props to you for staying up that late to watch a very important event.

You know one thing about all this FD issue that strikes me is the whole posture up angle shouldn't apply for the simple reason that if we successfully "feign" death, this means the attacker believes we are dead, and why would they attack a corpse. I think by feigning death in PvP the person should lose the ability to attack the target as it is in PvE. I also think if it's a something Jedi's are abusing, then they should pay the price and lose the ability to FD. I see no reason we should lose one of the few things we have just because a character class that gets everything for which they ask abuses it. It should be taken away from them. I don't know I kind of have had it up to here with jedi complaining the devs don't do everything they want, when they get so much and we get so little. But I realize this really turning into one big jedi fest and everyone else will end up as merely serving the needs of jedi.
I think considering how much they've got, the jedi could be a little considerate and not hog the world, but I know they won't. It's kind of sad considering what jedi are supposed to be, compassionate, selfless and kind, that they mostly are self-centered babies that only care for their own power and status.

I agree with lurdanta, Why would people continue to attack a corpse? Getting black barred and my armors condition getting screwed up is not worth the long wait just to save myself a trip to the cloning facility. One other problem I have with FD is that when I use it in PvE the targets that were attacking me stay locked on to me, so FD's use is very limited.

I generally cut BH's slack, as their prof hasn't exactly had an easy life either (though it's definitely been fixed more than ours so far...) however this has been an all out ATTACK on FD, for no other reason than "I'm so sick of not being able to kill smugglers in pvp" It really has nothing to do with Jedi for some people. Some people just get enraged by not being able to deathblow. BH's are jealous, they want a timer in place, probably because their knockdown shot resulted in the knockdown timer we all know and "love" today.

It's not the Jedi who want FD nerfed, its the BH. C'mon, think about it, if it were possible for you to lose up to a million exp on a death from a bounty hunter, wouldnt you want to FD? Personally, I think when a smuggler FD's others should see a corpse and go their merry way.
just my 2 cents.
