Also if you're just going to dabble in smuggler for roleplay purposes you may want to pick up the first box of dirty fighting. You can have A LOT of fun with Feign Death

Forget slicing, it's boring and a money sink to grind through. I just did the smuggler grind again after dropping it down to 4000for a short time. Luckly I had enough slicing xp to skip the whole container and terminal slicing and still by the end of slicing IV I was bored to death of slicing knives. The only time I slice is for myself or for my guild or mates and usualy for free. In return I usualy don't pay for the services they offer me.
If you're going to dabble go fixer, loads more money in it if you go about it rightly. Make sure you're a colonel to get the best transfer rate of faction points and make sure people know you can get them the faction points they want. You can make 300k in ten minutes of afk with the delegation macro in the smuggler FAQ links.

You mean the completely empty "Master Smugler" box that has had zero, zilch, nada information in it since the dawn of this game didn't inform you of all the wonderful benefits of being a Master Smuggler entails?
I don't know why, but the fact that no one can be bothered to so much as add some simple lines of text to the box to head off all these questions and the fact that people have to go outside the game to these forums to find out what the profession does, just makes me want to have an aneurism.
