Faction selling is a criminal activity. I'm bribing an officer with credits to hook me up.

A criminal activity perpitrated by a high ranking military official - NOT a smuggler. Every day theres a post on this forum that we're not drug dealers or dope pushers, but somehow its ok to just "be some kinda criminal" when its making us money?

Actually we do perpitrate the bribe. And we are to some degree drug dealers. We make the spice.

Apparently we are the greatest profession in the game. Everybody wants our skills.

In game, right now, we make the spice, just like in game, right now, we "bribe" the official* and then "smuggle" FP for 3m where we hand it to someone else. But neither of those are smuggling activities, they're jsut 2 skills in a poorley designed "Smuggler" profession that we've been trying for nearly 2 years to get redesigned.

* ps... this feels much less like bribing with the new menu dialogs on TC.. feels more like donating money to the ASPCA, not that it matters

So we should share some of the few skills that we have with other profs?

I understand your point I just disagree with it.

My point is that Smugglers are the criminal profession of SWG. We should be able to bribe officials, modify weapons, and deal in spice.

If that's where you what the profession to go then we're just going to have to agree to disagree. From where I stand that positioning is *EXACTLY* what I've wanted to be changed since I first learned enough to know what the skills in our skillboxes did.

I'll agree smugglers can have bribing in their toolset... but bigger picture here... the pbolem isn't with the bribe its with the system... declared a side, train the ranks, kill lots of stormies for FP, become a colonel and stay there for 6 months while you run a business off of bribing the same idiot recruiter for an hour a night.

If Bribing was the skill, and we used that skill to obtain info, get past scans, allow our ship to land in theed with contraband, and sometimes bribe Factional personell that's fine by me. that is nowhere near what we have now.

I agree with you. I'd like to see the skill expanded, I just don't think anybody else should be able to do it.

I agree the skill should be broadened for sure and I alsoagree that no other profession should have any skill related to a differentprofession,it's the reason we have enough skill points to master more then one.

As long as we get to do the faction sells and still make a profit I'm cool with it.
