I think once people found out that sometimes this method causes the slice to fail they would quit asking. You know it only takes a few hosed pre-nerf Krayt FWG5's to make a believer out of whole guilds. *evilgrin* *wink wink*

"The exploit is different from that. If somebody wants you to use the exploit they will hand you the weapon and a powerup. The powerup will NOT be attached to the weapon when they hand it to you. There is an exploit where you can get slices that are higher than normal; I'm not going to detail how to do it so don't ask "
Instead of trying to fight something, hang a lamp on it and give instructions on how to do it, so it becomes so mainstream the devs have to deal with it.
Make a thread like "How to get a slice higher than 40% using powerups" and give step by step instructions on how to do it. THAT will get their attention.

Heh, if YOU want to do that, be my guest.

Naw, have fun with it.
Just put the power up on after you slice... I mean, that's the nice thing to do, isn't it? They obviously wanted the powerup's effect, so you may as well put it on afterwards...
That's exactly what I do.
Then when they start complaining, I'll suggest that ifthey think I ripped them off to/report me. MWAHAHAHA!!!

I dontslice for a living in the classic sense ie - I dont do public slices too much and my tag is always ROGUE.
I guess because of that I am completely unaware of how you would do this.
I do however slice for the public here and there and want to know if this exploit is automatic or if you have to do something special?
Say Im handed a weapon and its already pup'd- and at times they are- I get a message saying "you remove the powerup" once I start and think, fair enough.
This isn't the exploit is it? I dont care to participate in exploits and just want some clearification.

You have to intentionally preform the exploit Shambler, it's not something that you can happen to do accidently. (well, most people can't. I probably could, knowing how absent minded I am)

That is NOT the exploit. That is how the system is meant to work. I can't even begin to imagine a set of circumstances that would lead a person to accidentally use the exploit, so if don't know how it works, then don't worry about doing it without realizing it. You won't do it by accident, so you don't have to worry about getting banned or anything.

Once again, the Europeans stick their heads in the sand and pretend everything is all good. I think history would beg to differ with your statement. ![]()
That or you guys are sooo out of tune with the rest of the community, AND never visit the boards that it somehow passed over all your heads.
Think this idea is pretty funny. I liked the idea about putting the PU on after the slice as a "service" that they obviously wanted from you. (cause no one would really ask for an exploit!...just as the guy from Farstar above) ![]()

I had a guy ask me about the Pup exploit and I told him I don't do the Pup exploit. He immediately backed up and said he didn't want it and was just wondering if you still could. I told him, that they fixed it. So, I think that is what I'll do, perform a normal slice, keep the Pup and tell the customer that they must've fixed the exploit.
