I had something similiar, both of us claimed to be hitting "Start trading", no messages for trading was shown on my screen, customer said the same. Both of us logged out, restarted, still no luck. Eventually we traveled from Coronet to Dant, where my plan was to give admin over my house, drop the armor pieces and so. After customer and me arrived at Dant, we tried again, and luckily it worked this time around. After that I took a few weeks off slicing for people I don't know, this was bloody annoying, I of course got my usual fee, but was forced to spend money on an unneeded ticket, same for the customer, and we both used about half an hour on a simple 3 armor piece transaction.
