Peoples unreasonable need to be jedi have screwed MANY things in this game all to hell......
All the peeps that are jedi have this little vision in there head of hideing out somewhere till they become this UBER unstoppable force weilder that can kill anyone just by looking at them.
And all the BH have this idea that they should got to the terms and get a mission, go straight to this unsupecting jedi who's tying his/her shoe....then kill them in one easy shot and collect there bounty.
Then when these folks(jedi and BH< specialy jedi) start to realize that they might acually have some obstcals in there way.....they'll cry till the end of time and screw every other prof, and the entire game, till u have what we got now.....a game based on the GCW that has done nothing but focus on jedi.

Wow what propaganda. Also notice you are a in a Bounty Hunter's guild. The Jedi that do have feign death are at the most mid level Jedi. They are no where near completing a full template. They have to give up /feigndeath eventually. Bounty Hunters use fd just the same as Jedi do. The blame should not be solely placed upon mid range Jedi that use it to thier advantage. There has always been cries about feign death even when smugglers use it. Its one of us smuggler's few abilities that works. If it ends up nerfed the only people to blame are those whining about it. Not those using it. Also if you are curious my Main character is a smuggler and my Jedi has never had feign death because instead of taking the easy no death road I opted for normal skills I could use a lot longer than fd. I took up tka 4004 and kept 0004 tka for the defences, which is a much much wiser choice when you are hurting for skill points down the road as a Jedi.

Put FD in the master box, wow .... something in the master box .... *shivers*.... problem solved.
If anything else happens, like a nerf, we know then there's no hope for us in mid or long term. I cannot, will not, believe they will nerf us.
And even at that, it's a nerf for our brothers that kept some smuggler skills thinking the future revamp would be nice to us and hoping to come back to Master.
No one really wins in this deal, it's just a question how to reduce the damage. IMHO, Master Box is the solution. Dabbling has always been an issue, I remember the CH era FotM (wich lasted 3 or 4 months)
Beating upa dead profession would show some new qualites from whoever is in a charge of this circus called game.
Sorry, can't beleive they will nerf the skill and profession. I'm repeating myself, cannot beleive it.
I'd believe it. Any amount of craziness is possible with SOE. I once didn't believe pigs could fly,..then my cousin got a great idea and build a catapult and used one of his dads prized hogs as a projectile. Granted it wasn't true flying...but it was close and no more absurd than SOE nerfing and squishing FD.

I have said this time and time again, rather than nerf the ability they just need to place a higher portion of the mods for FD at master.
That will make the dabbler think twice on using skill points for a skill that does not work all the time. Basically make it so DF 4 does not make it so you virtually never fail.
Smugglers are weak enough they need FD to survive.

I am a Master smuggler and have a jedi, I for one do not use FD. I am a low lvl padwan and havent taken it , nor do I exploit i.e. Log in and log out. I know of MANY BH who used FD long before to go after jedi. So the blame definately does not fall on the jedi shoulders only , because right now the way the system is its unfair with the major amount of griefing that alot of the bh are causing.
I.e. Perma tef, Gtef , the excess loss from cloning and BH db. Please do not say Jedi is supposed to be tough blah blah blah. I know jedi is suppose to be hard , i also know that you shouldnt be able to grind it to knight in a week or 3 weeks. The thing is the system doesnt work , and needs to be fixed. I would hate it if FD was taken from Smuggler as I do know how weak Smugglers are .
So before pointing your finger at other profession for problems , you do need to look at the source. SoE is the problem, they changed the trees, they also created the system. I for one would be MORE than happy to have jedi only skills thats fine , but make it so we are able to stand toe to toe with things at padwan since we have no armor or what not and you would not see temploiting. Make a fair system that doesnt require us to FD if a gank squad comes.
As a smuggler I would be pushing for changes that would be benefical to both BH/ jedi/ smuggler community because this debacle is going to affect all 3. Blaming a profession is not going to help one bit , constructive information is the only way this will work.

Problem is skills works way too well at low levels
Change the stats on it so
1st level only has a 10% chance of working
2nd level has around 30% chance
3rd level has around 50% chance
4th level has around 75% chance (think thats the current max level)
Would like to see an extra +15 in master box to take it to +90 at master smuggler, but thats my opinion.

The result of a kid too smart living on a farm with access to lumber and metal working tools. He's a electrical engineer now,...but I will never forget what he told his parents after they caught him (and this earned me 2 months grounding for laughing in hysterics)
Dad: Why in the H3LL did you launch that pig at the barn!!!
My cousin: Because the chickens weren't aerodynamically sound and lacked sufficient weight.

I think it really should be:
1st level only has a 10% chance of working
2nd levelaround 20% chance
3rd levelaround 35% chance
4th level around 50% chance
Master 75-80% chanbce
That would be balanced. The issue at hand is not how the smugglers use it. They need it to survive. The problem is the dabblers using it in unintended fashions.
These BH and Jedi issues would go away and only those using it at that point will be those willing to make the commitment to smuggler in skill points

5 stars for that one
