I know exactly what being a noob smuggler feelslike - I am one now 
I started a new toon on the Starsider server to specifically be a smuggler. After, the joy that is the unarmed grind, I finally made Novice yesterday. I went out and bought some clamps and knives and a my first locked container on the server. It was an awesome feeling slicing my first container - damn I can see why its so easy to be hooked onto this proffession. Well, I have a whole lot of qenker killing ahead of me in order to afford more containers but I will get there. On the brighter side, I get pistol XP for these missions as well which will come in handy.

I gave this to a few novice smugglers before I switched servers.
BTW - any Starsider smugglers know any good vendors that may stock locked containers? - I found one but he was charging 7.5K per container, which I think is abit steep.
