Last night I gave (free) 5 locked containers to a Novice Smuggler I've never met, made sure he had clamps for them, and after he sliced them, I was able to teach him Slicing 1.

As he was leaving, I told him to pass the favor on to any other Novices he meets that needs containers.

Help your fellow Smugglers out. No one else will...

I have done this a few time. Makes me feel Good to see thier little Virtual Faces light up when I tell them I have 5+ containers for them to slice, especialy when I give them the Clamps.

The Smuggler Community has been good to me, I am, in turn, good to the Community.

I havent done that in awhile, but i did spend about 15 minutes explaining slicing and what not to a fresh novice smuggler. Just cant forget where we came from.

Here here!! I have 20+ containers sitting in storage waiting for a guildie to want to go smuggler. Maybe I should pull some out....

I used to do that. Then the next time I'd see them is either unloading spice at half the going rate, or standing next to me advertizing specifically that they sliced for less than me... all the while bragging that they steal from people's containers. I no longer do it. No one helped me climb up, so I suppose my bitter Zabrak self has decided I wont be helping them.

That was during the beginings of the hologrind craze, so I suppose I might start "helping" again once patch 10 hits...

I feel that any new smuggler could go hang out front of fort tuscan for a few hours and get plenty of exp to move up. But it is very cool to help fellow smugglers out.

I gave 2 crates of survival knives to another smuggler the other day after I finished the slicing tree while waiting on a Pixie downer.

I agree, what I usually do is wait till I have about 20 locked containers saved up then I get a crate of clamps and find some novice smuggler and start chatting with em. If After I short converstaion I feel that they are in fact not holo grinding then I hand em over the containers and am on my way

I espetially like to do this for novices cause I remember what a pain it was getting containers back in july but now that they sell for 5k + yeotch!

I loved the kid i gave a pair of containers and clamps to, who promply mis-sliced both.

It's no wonder that guy has been standing in the same corner for two weeks now spamming for containers...

Totally agree. I'm considering helping out the up-and-coming smugglers after Publish 10 comes out, cause I'll know they're doing smuggler to be a smuggler.

Of course, there's always the dabblers.... But a little conversation with the person can tell you if they are or not.
