Thread: Sub Proffesion For Smuggler
I am Master Smuggler and Master Heavy Swordsman. This is great for P v. E play. I don't PvP much so I don't know how it works in that context.
However, there is not much NPC content in the game that I cannot solo as aSwordsman with the Feign Death capabilities

On the other hand, I decided to drop rifleman because it just doesn't seem very smuggler-ish. I'm going to try fencer and pretend I'm a pirate. I just have to petition the devs to allow ID's to give people eye patches and peg legs. And I'll have to find a pet that looks like parrot that'll sit on my shoulder.
I wonder if the game has puffy shirts...
Alright so say I go Master TKA/Pistoleer/Smuggler. How's the pay? In other words, how do I earn money?
Three simple paths to profit:
1) Slicing- always be available in the same spot, always be searchable, place adds on the bazzar under armor and weapon, place ad-named armorsegments next to all your and your friend's vendors. Make arrangements to slice bulk for weaponsmiths and armorsmiths. Repeat customers and word-of-mouth is the key- I even send between 5% and 10% tips to the refering regular customer when I can.Make a name for yourself as the most trustworthy smuggler, not the cheapest. This is the pure-smuggler aproach.
2) Faction points- use your new found combat talents to take on as many members of the opposite faction as possible, as fast as possible. Find faction farm-points (so far, seems the rebs have an upper hand here).Try not to sellsell unless you have surplus, as surplus = pure profit. Make deals with entire guilds- sell your FP at lower than market (but still 10-20% "profit" if you must buy FP) as a "guild contract". Advertize in the same manner as slicing, but also tell all same-faction slicing customers "I sell FP too, tell your guildmates" Oh- dont forget to be a Colonel! This is a good use of all your skills.
3) Join "solo groups" on Dantooine, Dathomir, or Yavin and only take NPC (not creature) missions that pay well and are close to eachother. Kill only the lair and ignore the rest of the spawn, keep your bike out to leave quickly and go to the next mission or return to the terminal. Remember- kill the lair only, you're only there for the payout. This can net you hundreds ofthousands ofcr per 3hr buff. This focuses only on your combat skills, and isnt very "smuggler-y"
