I did the triple master and it truly was awesome, but it actually got boring for me. I NEVER used my smuggler DF skills, or my pistol skills, I could just run up and bash anything in 5 seconds with my TK. For gaining money, its great, I could make over 100k an hour, sometimes 200K+ an hour if I got lucky on my mission term slices, but it got boring. I am moving to Master Commando/Master Smuggler. I was a master commando way back in the day (pre any nerfs) and it was so fun, but then I decided to try something else, and that lead me to smuggler, and then moved onto the triple master. Now I am going back to commando even though it isn't quite as Uber as TK, because I can play with other people now, as a TKM it wasn't worth my time to group with people, as I killed 4 mobs before they killed one. If you want to be a near unstoppable PvE force go Triple master, and you will also have some useability in PvP now that stacking is gone, but when the revamp comes around be prepared to get knocked a step back, as they are ending the days of spamming unarmed hit 3. I know as a Master Commando/ Master smuggler I wont be as powerful as my triple master but I'm still gonna have lots of fun.

I am Master Smuggler and Master Heavy Swordsman. This is great for P v. E play. I don't PvP much so I don't know how it works in that context.

However, there is not much NPC content in the game that I cannot solo as aSwordsman with the Feign Death capabilities

I just mastered rifleman, and it's actually unfair how powerful it is. Last night I did the 3 missions for the jedi lady in the waterfall cave on Dantooine. The last mission with the 4 Dark Force Savages and the Force Crystal Hunter was almost too easy.

On the other hand, I decided to drop rifleman because it just doesn't seem very smuggler-ish. I'm going to try fencer and pretend I'm a pirate. I just have to petition the devs to allow ID's to give people eye patches and peg legs. And I'll have to find a pet that looks like parrot that'll sit on my shoulder.

I wonder if the game has puffy shirts...

Triple master = uber PvE except against a 100% kinetic resist MoB. I can even take down dark jedi masters because of intimidate, and finish with lots of wounds and battle fatigue, but not damage to my HAM bars =) For NS elders and Axkva Min, bring a rifleman. All you will ever need.

Triple master = very good at PvP. You are a TANK. with my 40% stun/80% basearmor I can last at least 20-30secs against 3 or even 4 beating on me alone. Enough time to get dizzy/Kded, get up, and burst run away or FD (which I've never actually done in PvP). Unless, of course, there's a CM with mind poison in those 3-4 people. But then, anyone's screwed in that scenario.

You're what is called a defense stacker in this case, and I'm LOVING it. Plus, unlike fencer, you can target any pool you want at close range. Nasty rifleman shooting your mind? lowblow him till he's down, /panicShot; /pause 1;, /peace; keeps em down till you're beating on them with unarmedlunge at the very least. Fencers are the only proffession that I have trouble with. 1 on 1 with agood stun baton andthey have a very good chance of beating me. Just need a 300 damage geo pistol for those situations =)

Alright so say I go Master TKA/Pistoleer/Smuggler. How's the pay? In other words, how do I earn money?

Three simple paths to profit:

1) Slicing- always be available in the same spot, always be searchable, place adds on the bazzar under armor and weapon, place ad-named armorsegments next to all your and your friend's vendors. Make arrangements to slice bulk for weaponsmiths and armorsmiths. Repeat customers and word-of-mouth is the key- I even send between 5% and 10% tips to the refering regular customer when I can.Make a name for yourself as the most trustworthy smuggler, not the cheapest. This is the pure-smuggler aproach.

2) Faction points- use your new found combat talents to take on as many members of the opposite faction as possible, as fast as possible. Find faction farm-points (so far, seems the rebs have an upper hand here).Try not to sellsell unless you have surplus, as surplus = pure profit. Make deals with entire guilds- sell your FP at lower than market (but still 10-20% "profit" if you must buy FP) as a "guild contract". Advertize in the same manner as slicing, but also tell all same-faction slicing customers "I sell FP too, tell your guildmates" Oh- dont forget to be a Colonel! This is a good use of all your skills.

3) Join "solo groups" on Dantooine, Dathomir, or Yavin and only take NPC (not creature) missions that pay well and are close to eachother. Kill only the lair and ignore the rest of the spawn, keep your bike out to leave quickly and go to the next mission or return to the terminal. Remember- kill the lair only, you're only there for the payout. This can net you hundreds ofthousands ofcr per 3hr buff. This focuses only on your combat skills, and isnt very "smuggler-y"

If you don't want me to "play the forums," then I suggest you make time playing the game more rewarding and less repetitive than "playing" here!
