Well in all fairness, Bzzz, bounty hunters have had a rather tulmulteous PvP carreer. They started out being one of the strongest, and that got nerfed, and rightly so. But now they are expected to hunt players who have, according to continuity and mechanics, the template for potentially being the fiercest warriors, and are forced to do it with only their skillset as the Master Bounty Hunter build doesn't really leave room for much else which is unfair.

I agree. Let's be happy for a fellow broken profession, hehe. BTW, has anyone else noticed that it's now possible to get BH pistols with master smuggler (if my math's correct). We could hunt each other after our revamp :-)

I gotta agree with JTGALPHA,
Though smuggs have been screwed for a year as well we haven't quite been kicked around as hard as BHs (close enough mind you). Our revamp had better be worth the wait though.
The thing I see here is- people are mad. Mad because a profession that most feel shouldn't be in the game is getting MAD attention when other profs that have been broken since day one are ignored.
Onthe Devsend Jedi IS the most sought after profession in the game and so it HAS to be fun and WORTH the time that a majority of the player base has put towards achieving it. The other thing is it HAS to WORK CORRECTLY - because after publish 10 the Jedi will have to take a backseat to the rest of the game for a LONG, LONG TIME or else there are going to be serious problems.
Now as far as our prereques' are concerned, I am happywith themas they are-My only change would be that the DF line be made with combat XP and that we not be chained to the pistol because Han was. I'm pretty sure I've posted my position several times.And GM seems to want to go that directionbut I think he did mention something about wanting tochange the prereque's but not wanting to deal withall the problems it would cause.
I need to find the post where they talk about thechanges to BH.If they are just taking away some of the lines and not filling them with anything else...Master Smuggler/Master BH might be something I might beinterested in-

Does this mean as a smuggler/bounty hunter I could take missions on the BH terminals for myself. (If they are included in our revamp.)

I doubt it. But if you could get your bounty served while you were searching for a bounty. That'd be neat...

I've been a master smuggler for about 8 months... and I HATE that I am dependant on pistols. Pistols are not nearly strong enough without the mods provided in bounty hunter. I Grabbed TKM and I am killing stuff I could never kill as master pistoleer in a decent amount of time. And if I want ANY defenses at all I have to get TKM or a fencer tree because pistoleer give Def vs Knockdown and melee but NO ranged...

Hmmmm, I hope not- I don't think you could get any money on it if you could anyway as there is no way to shoot yourself.
Also, just because you take the mission doesn't mean another BH can't take the mission so I think we can still set up Smuggler Bounties without exploits (at least in that fashion).

you can kill yourself by using nades...
I doubt though that oyu would be able to take a mission for yourself..

The new super pistol template is Master Pistoleer, BH Pistols, Smuggler Dirty Fighting, and Novice Commando. With 18 skills points to spare. While I'm glad for the BH's that this is getting changed for them; I'm wary as to whether or not the new template will be imbalancing or not. Should prove interesting.

Man, that template sounds DEADLY- but you really miss out on the FUN stuff from each of the fields-
No bounties for BH-
No Slicing and Spicing for Smuggler- (and probably no bounties on your head)
Just a breath of Commando is really a tease
Master Pistoleer- Well, there is always the combat balance.
I guess you would be awesome at ranged though.

Kaern....not so new. That was how it used to be as well...but at least dedicated pistol users will actually matter again.
