Let me get this straight...
Not only does the poster not understand why this name was against the TOS but someone else actually thinks 'Turdnut' is a "great name"??? My god...our standards for "great" sure have hit rock bottom...
LOL, lighten up it is a great name in the poop joke RLworld we live in not the classic SW one. If we cant laugh at ourselves who can we laugh at? He came up with a name that SOE says not touse and he gets his name changed, fair enough. Still sucks, its not simpathy or a statment that SOE is wrong, just pointing out that having all your stuff erased sucks, even if it was your own fault.

While Turdnut Korn is about the stupidest nameI could imagine, it is, at most, creative to some degree. What i realy cant stand is this BS with the seemingly random lower to upper case letters like, RaNDDal and such. I mean damn there is a name generator if you cant come up with anything creative use the generator.
thats my oppinion and I'm sticking to it

I'm afraid I have to agree with them for the most part. Had I seen the name, i probably would have reported it if I knew how. It was a risk you took, and I think losing your structure access probably is valid, although I certainly wouldn't cry foul if they let you keep them. I definately DONT agree with their inability to respond to you. That's unacceptable, and I hope you do geta response.
I think all you have to do is target the person and use the /report command. Or /report [name]. I have only reported one person for a name violation and that was way back in the beginning. If I reported everyone with a name that is against the ToS that I saw now, I wouldn't have time to do anything else. Oh, and the guy that I reported was named something like 'Jeezus Chryst'.

Squatch/TN,
I am sorry that you were treated that way by a CSR and you have gotten no contact to help you to get your character straightened out.
However, you did violate the TOS and your name was an intentional jab at SOE and SWG. You intended for it to be something people would react to. Well, the CSRs reacted to your violation of the TOS and changed your name. I agree with them 100%.
How they did it, I don't agree with, but your name should never have been allowed in the game.

You know whatannoys me?
While CSRs are changing names like this one, people with names like Uliq Quel'Droma with 75 badges to their name are still running rampant.

I'd have to say yeah, I don't feel sorry the name was changed.
But no warning? No chance to come up with a new one (with CSR approval)? No access to his own, account-owned structures? No friend list, no char sheet? That's going a bit overboard, I'd say. Especially not being available for a conversation when it happened. Just seems like laziness to me -- I knew a friend who had his name changed once, and I don't seem to recall him having any of these troubles. And he was allowed to choose his new name.

Well as far as the name, it was begging to be changed and you had to know it. I can't say that I liked the name but it was creative. I think that if they are going to change the name, they should send yu back to the name generator like at the begining and let you choose it, they can monitor and approve the new one but you should be able to choose it. Once the name is chosen, all items should take the new name. There is no need to wipe everything as if it is a new character, that is just wrong.
