I am just about ready to log of last night when i get a tell form a CSM saying that my toon name was not allowed (note: this is after three months of game play) and that they have taken the liberty of changing my name for me!! I quickly responded to the tell to find out what was wrong, and get a CSM is not online reply!!
So i sent some email to the CSM name and asked what the problem was.I quickly log out and back in to find out that it is the truth. Not only that but my whole Char sheet has been wiped!! No more friends on my list, no more bio,on information at all that i have entered. Months of hard work and building a slicing rep andit is all gone!!
I have yet toget a reply!! How am igoing to get back into my private structures if my name has been changed?!?
I guess what im looking for is someone to tell me what to do next? I feel violated!! My identity has been stolen!!
I am really thinking bout canceling my subscription!! The worst part is someone had to report it in order for it to have even become a problem!! Geezz some people!!

Sorry but you broke the naming convention and you did it deliberately. I have no sympathy for you and hope that as the months go by they get more and more names like this out of the game.

I happen to find the idea of Storm as a name offencive!! I cant believe that they allow your name in the game!!DUDE whatever.
That aside the point of the post is the fact that i cant get into my home, and the poor custmor service, the lack of explnation, and the fact that they did it at such a poor time, and will not answer my questions. On top of that...Exactly how is the name offencive, when i am bobarded by spam at the starport pushing "PIMP" supplys and weapons. Very Week.

Yeah, er whatever. Not sure that the word Storm is used as a slang term for human excrement.
I find it difficult to believe that anyone chanced upon the letters T U R and D without knowing what it meant so you took your chances and you've paid for that. What you want me to say? I'm sorry you got punished for breaking rules?

I'm gonna go with Rylan on this one...I have a hard time feeling sympathy in this case.
However, the name changing service should include some kind of sub-routine that transfers ownership of all items and structures to the new name as well.
Life sucks...but, them's the breaks.

Lol now thats some funny stuff guy on my server named a guy dicken cyder we had a pool going for how long that would last, lasted 2 weeks and 1 day ( i lost) but dude risky names are just asking for this.

Let me get this straight...
Not only does the poster not understand why this name was against the TOS but someone else actually thinks 'Turdnut' is a "great name"??? My god...our standards for "great" sure have hit rock bottom...

While I feel agree that the way in which the name change was handled could have been better I will have to agree with the side that says you had it coming. I see lots of people out there with stupid names like that just asking for trouble. Instead of being creative with their names and creating a unique person alot of people spend to much time being creatuve with their names to violate the TOS and just be immature.

I personally have no sympathty for characters with such names. I think that many names I see are very stupid and/or offensive. That said, if (and only if) the name breaks the rules laid out by SOE should anything be done about it. I believe that to be the case here, so tuff luck, but how they did it, that was kinda wrong. They should first warn the guy (it had been 3 months! Geez, slow response on their part!) then give him the option of changing the name to something acceptable prior to taking action like they did. However, since he already broke the rules, can't say that I blame them too much, just not how I would handle it.
