This is why I have a YT and buy on talus, short run to the Ship Term.. group launch... delegate in space......
Well, that only works if you can hold the amount of faction they want to buy from you.
Have they changed the maximum faction you can hold when you're Colonel?
EDIT:
Oh, the cap is 120,000 faction. I doubt you'll get someone wanting to buy THAT much... hehe

Well, I'm sure he's able to sell them that cheap because he's not "buying" the faction. He's farming it.
I'd probably sell my faction for lower than 120 if I didn't have to buy it up front as well. At 120, that's around a 40 cr / point profit. It's not costing this Rebel any up-front costs, so his time to farm faction is worth 80 cr / point to him. Sounds fair.

OH! The buying cap is gone?!?
I've been gone from the game since November of 2004.. Wowie wow.... That makes faction purchases a BREEZE! No more block purchase / transfer! Customer wants 9000 faction? Buy 10,530 faction and transfer it to him. Nice nice nice.

No, there is still a cap... but it's somewhere like 120,000 FP or some insane number like that. I don't remember exactly. Someone here does, and I'm sure they'll correct me soon.

Ya don't lie to a fellow Smuggler... unless he's someone that could dip into your profits.

no, aside for the cap for how much you can hold in total there isn't an artifically lower cap that hinders you from buying a pile of FP at a time (used to be +500). You can buy all your faction long ahead of time and then meet your customer just for one big /del.
if you have the credits to float go ahead and buy a lot ahead of time for quick sales later, and then spend the time buying whenever you're not busy.

I believe faction pets are the only thing that can't be traded. And now, apparently, faction armor can't because of the bio-link bug. Are faction purchased weapons bio-link, too? If so, rule them out as well.

So say someone wants 10K faction points. Do most people charge them for just the 10K or do you charge them for 11,777?

You pick a price ahead of time based on what it costs you. then you do some quick math to figure out what that means to your customer...
end result, you're charning your customer for 10k faction points .. and your charging them a high enough rate per FP that you cover your losses.

You have to maintain a minimum of 200 FP. You Can't go lower then that.
