Thread: Jedi breaking feign death
As far as being "unfair" to the smuggler, maybe your feign would get removed, but it looks like you'd get completely healed (battle fatigue included) when they broke your feign. This skill has a high force cost, and you could always feign again. If i were a jedi fighting a BH and I had him beat up and feigned, i'm not sure I would heal him up so he could go at me again...

Yup, Wes has most certainly brought that up. It's 'working as intended' I believe.
There is also another force power that does it...
Yep, he speaks the truth

Yep, he speaks the truth... not that you needed me to tell you that
Thats not acceptable then. How canbreaking someones ultimate defense move be done without even incuring a tef. Working as intended is just SOE saying we screwed up and dont give a damn if you like it or not because we arent gonna spend the time to fix it.

Hmm I have to say as a long time smuggler I have no problem with this. From a continuity standpoint it makes sense that a jedi would be able to sense that someone is not truly dead.
Is it fair that a jedi could 'raise' a BH and not the other way around? Not sure on that one. BHs do get the first attack, and a jedi might not even know someone was after him. I'm sure it's frustrating for a BH to track a jedi, almost get the incap, and then have the mark go FD, but no more frustrating than for a jedi to have a BH and his gtef-gank squad pile on and erase 3 or 4 days of xp in seconds. Just my opinion...
So just chime in your opinion. Does it make sense that a BH can check a pulse? You don't need any "special energy field" to see if someone is dead or not... geesh!

Which is fine, I'm cool with that, SO LONG AS THERE'S LIKE TWO ON THE F*CKING SERVER, AND THEY'RE AFRAID TO USE THEIR F*CKING POWERS. Now BH's can't even feign if the guy's got one of a couple force powers...

The devs probably did it so that Jedi have a way to get Bounty Hunters with a mission on them up so that they can be killed. Doesn't mean I like it, but that's my guess as to why it does that.

I agree 1,000,000% its not that they are over powered they are jedi after all. Its that there is way, way, way, WAY to many of them. Because of that it does in fact over power all other professions and make the game a Jedi, not Star Wars game. The dev's should have never addedthe professionto the game or at the leastkeptit a perma-death class. Now the dev's are screwed because most everyone wants a jedi and as the population explodes they will have to make them weaker, this in turn will freak all the jedi out. They have put themselves in a lose/lose situation. Is this SWG or Jedi Academe?
I hope you don't mind a MBH's prospective, There are 100's of jedi on corbantis using FD until they are powerful enough to solo a BH and now the jedi have a way to break FD, this stinks to me. For one FD is your (smugglers) move and should not be used by another profession, especially one that is already overpowered and when used stops me, the BH, from doing my job. I don't know how you people feel about this but i think a move this powerful (breaks combat) needs moving to master, then if a jedi wants to become a master smuggler, fine, FD till the cows come home.
As a Bh I refuse to use FD, if a jedi kicks my backside fair and square, one on one, fair play. but this week i've not completed one Jedi mission. If there not FD'ing, there ganking.
I believe that if FD is moved to master smuggler it should be unbreakable by another player, it is your skill and should stay that way, just like hunting jedi is a master bounty hunters skill.
