As for Janta missions, which I hear might end their luster with the death of solo groups, but I would buy a nice set of Ubese, it's cheaper than comp and why grind your nice comp, when Ubese with a nice Kinetic will do. As for weapons, I can't really help. I use my scythe.

I really wanted to comment on your second story to say I'm sorry. I've run into the same attitude and it's a real bummer. I would have done the same thing you did...can't believe he thought 6k was a good bid on full set of even bone armor...it's hard to find a good piece of armor for 6k. I don't know there seem to be a lot of hating and griefing going on all over the place. Can't say why, but all I can say is just forget it, stick to remembering the good interactions you have like the doc who heals you as you are loading in coronet after dying yet another time in space. It seems there are a lot of people with issues they want to shove down the throat of anyone who pokes their head up at the wrong place and time.

I'll try not to go into much detail on this other story, which happened probably a month ago...

I've always loved rugged jackets. I had a craving for a solid blue one (and not a two-tone one), but not too bright. I ended up getting one from someone and even though it was a *tad* bright I liked it. But a few days after that I wanted a dark one and looted one with a good main color, but a crappy second color. So I did a tailor search to see who was around. None of my usual tailors were around so I went with the only guy in the area. I asked him if he could match the color jacket I had and mentioned it was a dark color. As I'm making my way to him he had apparently made one for me and hands it over as I get there. It's totally the wrong color, this one is dark grey when I wanted a dark blue one-- he didn't even wait for the jacket I had to match the color. On top of that he wanted 6k. I wasn't going to pay 6k for a jacket I didn't want.So I tell him this and for some reason it never came up to make another one, but I'm like, 'well, thanks anyway' and take off. He's like 'oh well, thanks for sticking me with this jacket I'll never be able to sell... but it's no biggie.' So I said something like, well, it's not what I wanted, so I really shouldn't have to pay, because you didn't even try to match it. Then he goes 'yea, well, it's no big deal'. And then I'm like 'if it's no big deal why do you keep bringing it up' and basically he goes into this thing about how I still pay him because it's common courtesy. And I could sort of see his point, but he was kind of giving me this attitude the whole exchange so there was no wayI was gonna pay him, especially that price, again, because he didn't even make an effort to give me what I asked for... (hey I said I'd TRY not to go into much detail =)

It went on for a few moreminutes, but I mean, god people... you can't be an ass, make the wrong item, charge way too much, say it's no big deal, complain you can't sell it, say it's no big deal again and THEN still expect me to pay you. Were it an honest mistake MAYBE, but... gah. My advise folks, stick to your usual tailors. =)

Yeah. If Iwalk into Burger King, order a Bacon Double-Cheeseburger plain, and get a hamburger with lettuce, onions, and ketcup, I'm not going to accept or even pay for the damn thing. I'm either going to leave with my money, or get what I originally ordered.

Heat is definatly not what you want to use on Jantas. Your best bet on those is your DX2 or a Republic Blaster. Ive never had a problem taking those out. Theyre NPCs that like to melee so just keep running back and fourth spamming fan-shot.

Mokks your best bet is Heat, FWGS, same exact tactic...if ya wanna call that a tactic. Piece o cake.

Quite frankly those missions arent that fun as a pistoleer, good money but take a long time because the stupid lair has a billion hitpoints. The npcs themselves arent too tough as long as your buffed and have decent ubese or composite.

I think lairs are a pistoleer's bane full stop. I had the exact same problem doing faction missions (I've been working at rank on and off the past few weeks), and I've actually got into the habit of stacking up last ditches on my combat queue and tabbing out to read the forums...

Well, considering lairs take a *lot* more damage when there's no defenders, it sounds like you're just trying to nuke the lair and run out.

That's supposed to be true...but it's really not...at least from a Pistoleer P-o-V...

Even using Last Ditch with my FWG (which is my highest damage pistol)...the most I'll hit for is 2k-3k per shot on an empty lair. And if it's a lair of NPCs (Rebels, Mokks, Jantas, Pirates, etc.) the laircan sometimesbe 60k-70k full hit points...after the defenders are all dead. It can still take quite a while to kill the damn things. I've used the alt-tab method as well until I hear the big explosion signaling the end of my mission.

I understand the reasoning behind why they made lairs tougher to kill...but I think they OVER-did it in some aspects.
