Thread: I'm getting sick and tired of this!

Hey, I got a 7 day hiatus for my rant a few months ago - I know all about feeling frustrated and mad and disgusted, etc. Point is we shouldn't be tearing into each other. It does nothing but continue the negativity. Granted there is very little to be positive about - but man, there are people who haven't been here as long as the veterans, and they just simply may not have taken the time to read all the stuff that's gone on before - no excuse, but still no reason to blast them.

If the post title bugs you, then don't read it. I've started doing that and I find that my ulcer doesn't bother me as much, the shooting pains in my head have stopped, and the neighbors have stopped disappearing with as much regularity...

Thanks Shrendyc...

My point wasn't an attempt to excuse the posts that blatantly ignore the stickies or the ones that are obviously annoying and jaw grinding for us.

The point is that even though some of the Smugglers here need to get slapped around, I'd rather see things continue the way they always have. We'd turn on an outsider at the drop of a dime, but we'd usually cut each other some slack. It was also a note for some of the newer posters in this forum that don't seem to recognise the united front we try to present.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114
