Obviously you have not really understood how slicing works nowaday, eh? Might want to read up on it again before you post some more things here that make you look like someone with the IQ of a frozen turkey.
I am a Master Smuggler/Master BH and guess what? This char has mastered a lot of the hard Kashyyyk quests (including the Katarrn for example) so I rather doubt that she will just bimble in the DWB, roll into a tight ball and die. Assuming that all Smugglers have templates that does not allow them to fight is just plain arrogant..
If someone came across to me like you and asked me for a slice under "their" conditions I would rather doubt that they'd ever see their things back - I get attached to shiny things so easily when I get insulted.
As far as doing the "Gimp work" goes - I am very sure I will get a lot of the kits by myself - but even if not I am also very sure I'd rather not do any slices until I got new kits before I would get a kit from someone with your attitude.
I am totally against looting as a single means of obtaining slicing components.
Please include obtaining slicing components as payoffs for smuggler missions, as "skimmed" from smuggler cargo, as loot, as bonuses from smuggling contracts, as trade from NPCs (Jabba, etc.)
Having ONE way to obtain slicing components is very bad.

Just had to add this... the DWB and the Avatar aren't the only places the high-level components drop. I can walk 1K out of my city on Tat and find Krayts by the truckload who are more than happy to lay down and die to cough them up for me. Nightsisters like to spit them out when they die, too.
And I only need one friend to tag along in order to take krayts down. I can solo the Nightsisters.
So..... we need you why?
I had wondered if you had moved to TB with the other Avian guys. And why walk 1k, I seem to find them behind the cantina most days.
I tell em up front it won't be free and they need their own components or they can find somebody else, no sweat off my arse, it's not like I support myself thru slicing anyways.

You need us a hell of a lot more than we need you. The servers are full of loot monkeys such as yourself but the smuggler population is pretty low.
