I will happily find my own kits for slicing my weapons and slice others weapons IF they bring the kits to me. With all the steps now to slicing...I am just as happy not to have to slice all my master weaponsmith's newly made weapons.

BUT the main reason I play a smuggler has not changed, only the annoying part of slicing. I found slicing to be a pain in the rear from day one...but feign death and all the nifty specials I get make it well worth playing a smuggler.

Playing a Smuggler will be worth it when we can actually SMUGGLE.

We will get our revamp and become actual smugglers after they revamp SL into the uber PvP FotM, and then we will have our glorious day! This is currently scheduled for Pub356in the spring of 2047.

What will be really annoying is when slice kits start to take on their own market economy, like krayt pearls.

Depending on how often these things drop, I'm thinking we should make people give us 2 kits for every slice. One for their slice, one to use for ourselves. Either that or the 10k service fee for the slice.

But I'm sure there will be a whole new band of newb smugglers who will offer to slice for free if people bring the kits, which is a hugly bad idea.

I'm charging 50K per slice. Remember, I don't have to buy the stuff from you. I have guildies that'll give me the loot for free. I'm also looting the stuff on my own. And besides all of that... I'm not slicing for a living... so I don't have to slice for you at all.

Everyone tells us not to be greedy.... the same people that used to charge millions for sliced weapons that we sliced for them for 5K each. The same folks who made ungodly amounts of credits selling sliced armor but whined if we tried making a decent profit slicing it for them.

Bob-O, you're hilarious... I don't care what you charge for the ones from DWB. I don't need it. Other people do. So charge em whatever you want to. Charge em 180k, 1Mill, 10 cred... Just had to add this... the DWB and the Avatar aren't the only places the high-level components drop. I can walk 1K out of my city on Tat and find Krayts by the truckload who are more than happy to lay down and die to cough them up for me. Nightsisters like to spit them out when they die, too.

And I only need one friend to tag along in order to take krayts down. I can solo the Nightsisters.

So..... we need you why?

Like many of the others around here, I'd like to get this completely straight. You want to charge one of us for a component that you're asking us to install on your equipment? You're not "doing all the Gimp work" collecting those parts for us, you're collecting them for you. After you have the parts, you can track down one of us with the know-how to tweak your equipment and/or install the components, for which you'll likely beasked to paya fee for the service. Not only does it take a moment of our time, but it's an illegal process, so we're going to want to be compensated for our troubles.
