The publishes are focusing on bug fixes. Don't expect them to hit all of our bugs at once. They are trying to correct bugs for ALL professions, the combat system, game world environment, NPC AI, etc etc etc. That's alot of pudu to fix, man.

man... I'm so glad i hit that cancel button.
This "publish" is almost as bad a joke as the "expansion" they just announced.
Apparently the only thing they think is wrong with smugglers is the freakin object stacking. what a bunch of lazy, stupid morons.

That is something I don't understand either. Their project management is actually non-existant, no development plan whatsoever (at least non that can be derived from the "publishes" which turn to hotfixes more and more every patch), no QA, no testing process...
People fail courses for that kinda stuff at university, but obviously it's still enough for SOE.

Sorry soup can lids have been nerfed, after a bh used it to kill a jedi.

Did I fall through a time rift here? Some of these items in the publish seem like they are from previous publishes.
Combat
- Elemental damage will now be applied to a target for weapons that have bonus elemental damage. (Wasn't this suppost to have been "fixed for good" like two publishes ago?)
Profession: Bounty Hunter (Again, weren't these items added in just added a publish or two back?)
- Only Master Bounty Hunters will be able to draw Boss level Marks.
- Increased the amount of bounty droids in crates.
- Increased the amount of charges on bounty droids.
- The Track option on Seeker droids will now consume a droid charge.
- Moved Player Bounty Hunting to the Master Bounty Hunter skill Box
Quests
- Secrets of the Syren quest givers should now give the chapter 3 quests.(I did chapter 3 and 4 in one game session a couple days after chapter 4 started with the last publish)
- Secrets of the Syren quest, chapter 4 should be able to be completed. (umm...we've been on chapter 4 for at least a publish now)

No, no rift, just that the half trained monkeys that they employ as developers can't seem to code anything right, so this is kinda like them coming out and shouting "Do Over!!!"
But it is really pathetic that they will be pushing out half finished crap like this, yet they are announcing a new expansion... oh wait, the expansion is for Jedi, no wonder.

I'm sorry.... don't take this personally (although you probably will), but I'm sick of people making up excuses for the DEVs. I'm a programmer too. I develop software. I've done so for 10+ years, so I have some idea of what I'm talking about.SOE is pathetic. Not only do they have the worst QA that I've ever encountered, but the developers are idiots. How so? They write code that simply doesn't work. Critical hit slice? Doesn't work. Concussion shot? It took them months to get it right. Look at the poor commandos. They're coolest weapon DIDN'T FIRE! nothing. nada. How can anyone write and release code that simply doesn't work. Now they say they're fixing the bugs, but their priorities are as screwed as their expansion is. There are professions that are fundimentally broken -- as in, unplayable. So what do they do? they fix the FS quests, make light go further in buildings, protect j3d1 by only allowing Master BH to hunt them, and ADDED the NEW functionality of packing up houses.Yes, I know that there are other features in the pub (/cheer entertainer), but most of this fluff is totally unnecessary for the playing of the game. If they're supposed to fix bugs, then they should f'ing fix the bugs that matter -- not change the way robe functions are displayed.I honestly don't know how these people stay employed.
Have you ever had to step into someone elses code and start working with it?
I think that alot of the current devs were not there when the game was started and had to step in and try and figure out what is going on. Also when you are making games (especially one like this) you have to try and test everything when you fix a bug. I'm sure that when they fix a bug they do some internal testing and then put it on TC or live. With that said 100 people looking at a bug instead of 100,000 is a big difference.

Hey, therewill becontent for non-jedi in the expansion. /ROFL Sorry, I couldn't keep a straight face and say that.
I'll bet that there will be only onenon-jedi quest, which will be to go kill a level 110 lava monster so that we can recover Obi-Wan's pocket lint that he dropped during the fight with Vader/Anakin. The uber reward will probably be a datapad written by Yoda urging us to become jedi.

Not to mention the field of programming is different. dlc3007, saying you're a programmer doesn't mean you are qualified to critique the way Sony's programmer's operate. Do you program MMORPG's? If not then do you at least know what it's like to be in their shoes?
As Osrid said, there are programmers coming in and having to sift through uncountable lines of other peoples code just to find where a decimal point was placed wrong or a single symbol was out of place. From my point of view, they are doing one heck of a job just juggling bug fixes while still trying to give the players some of what they want. Granted, they can't give us everything, but at least they are trying.
