Slicing makes me cash because I can slice a mission terminal for 15k in a good city. I do charge 5k a slice for weapons and armor but I noticed its just not working lately. Maybe I'm not giving it enough time but I'm sure not making 500k from slicing lol
I love being a smuggler and I would never give it up but I really need to figure out how to make credits.
what is your template? perhaps we of the smuggler forum can help you with your problem

Yep I make a killing selling loot as well.
I always end up giving all my decent loot to friends and the younger guildmates. I'm a sucker I guess
My guild left for EQ2, it's amazing how much stuff I can collect with no guild chat distractions
Joras move to eclipse our guild is still very strong and one of the first on the server. We dont do open recruting only friends of the "family" are offered the chance to join so we have a very tight group of about 40 (25 active) members and we are all good friends. 
A far as loot and guildies go, we have group hunts and trade up loot all the time. The trick to making money off loot is to do it like a job, in other words go out and hunt for loot. You will be amazed at what n00bs sell on vendors for 6k and once you know what to look for and places that drop loot you want to just go hunting for a few hours at that location(dont camp thats just poor tast). One item can get you anywhere from 75k to 6mil.

allright, then loot hunting with TK is gonna be bread and butter for you. I find the aakuan caves to be an excellent source of loot. The weapons development facility on naboo has been kind to me. As a TK you can tank krayts for people. Premium pearls are selling for like 4-5 million on my server although the market for krayt tissue is dead.

This would all be solved if SOE followed the idea from the "Map" thread and opened up a LOT of planets and combined all the galaxies

I would man but I love Sunrunner too much. There is a great multi-guild rebel ventrillo I hang out in and we are all really close. I appretiate the offer but I don't think I could ever leave Sunrunner

I can dig it, I feel the same about Eclipse.
what we need though, is a cross server smuggler ventrillo.

He can't even seem to sell a gun lately, and he's trying to work armorsmith too lol You'd figure we'd be rich lol Smuggler/Weaponsmith/Armorsmith but we are as broke as they come.
Selling parts from space and slicing mission terms seems to be the only means I can make credits.

Another great and easy way to make big time credits is resources. While not the most glamorous way to make a living you can make a ton I mean a TON of credits selling any and all resources, just plop a few harv's down in the right places and in a few days sell it off. I have a friend that has made over 500mil (yes 1/2 a billion)this way.....
