- pull up the radial menue for the weap, armor or terminal you want to slice, you will see a menue item called "slice"
- click the menue item.
- a dialog will help you the rest of the way
Simple and reasonable question guys. Geeze i'm ashamed to be considered a member of the human race. I want a devorce.

- Lazy. wasn't interested in reading the stickies.
- Is looking for help in cheating smugglers out of slicing money be respecing, slicing his own gear, and then going back to another profession. I feel no obligation to help someone rip me and fellow smugglers off.
- didn't even have the guts to usehis real forum ID. Brainless-Boy created this ID yesterday sohe could ask us for help ripping us off without anyone recognizing the scum for what he is.
I'm actually disappointed that anyone explained to this punk how to slice. ![]()
What a n00b! It is kneel, Stand, dance now. They changed it in the CU.

Let's all just accept that we'll have to use our READ THE STICKIES macro a lot.
To answer the original question... first you need to get a live Nuna -- Nuna eggs will do in a pinch. Wrap them in Wort hide and set them on fire. While they're burning, set up a repeating macro that does: Stand, Sit, Stand, Dance. Run that macro while running backwards around the live, burning Nuna. Once that's completed, the slicing options should show up on your screen. They'll be bright blue. Can't miss them.

First off, forgive my fellow smugglers if we're a little harsh, we've been smugglers a long time and it means more than just a profession to us.
Second--READ the stickys, they contain tons of information that can answer most questions.
Third--First step: pull 1 WUK, 1 clamp and 1 set of knives from the crate. Step two: click on the weapon you want to slice. Step Three: the option to slice in on the raidal menu, choose slice. Step Four: follow the instructions given in the slicing UI.
Hope that helps
Anyone have a wp for a vendor that sells Zippos? Or do I need a MC with a flamethrower?

There is a difference in respec'ing to a profession in order to explore the profession, and respec'ing to a profession in order to do some task.
You on the other hand respec'd specifically to slice, if you notice your first post.
What most of us have said is that we spent a hell of a long time trying to master this profession.
I became a smuggler in september of '03 and spend the next 4 months grinding slicing because I did not have enough money to buy all the locked cans, so I sliced them as I found them, and all the ones my friends could find. Finally a friend gave me all the needed supplies and weapons to grind out slicing 4.
It took us a hell of a long time to do something, and have someone respec just to slice makes me sick... sorry.
I specifically respeced to Ranger to find Snorbals and the like for a quest.
I specifically respeced to Doctor to revive a fallen group member.
Big deal.
We all have put the time and effort into SWG in mastering some sort of professian and exchanging those points for something else to try them out or just make use of them while the oppurtunity is available is perfectly fine and encouraged.
What is unforunate is that there is no TC that has a blue frog on it 24/7 for us to go test templates out there as UO had... Just it wasn't a blue frog.
Either way, we have all been hit by this Combat Downgrade and have the right to make whatever use we find out of the respecing while it lasts.
The only thing that bothers me is the fact that people get badges and some professians are more difficult to master than others. Smuggler though... Simple grind. Who cares if someone respeced? BH though... That investigation is a pain and it ain't fair some people can just fly pass that. But it doesn't bother me as I too am doing the same things only in the different ways -- Getting the most out of the respecing.

I'm respecing my 2nd toon to master smuggler and master pistoleer. Grinding the slicing line can't be worse than grinding Master Droid Engineer and Master Merchant, can it? Ah well.![]()
Actually it is more grueling. No other profession has to find loot to progress.

This is true, but if he had put so much into the game, you'd think he'd know enough to check out the FAQ first.

Not everyone is forum savvy.
Nobody beings using a forum right away knowing there are stickies with important information or what they even are. It took me a while too before I learned the ins and outs of forum posting which is why I can't ever hold it against anyone to make simple mistakes as I can not say I never made them myself or mistakes similar.
