Lol so true yimaz.

I like how they are talking about 7-9, but finish 3 first

A tv series will fail, or turn intoa "battlestar galactica"

For how long it takes George to do these movies will we be in our 70's when the last of 7,8 and 9 come out?

So that would force George to let someone else direct it...cause if I'm in my 70's he would be directing...unless someone has perfected cloning.

As a side note, I love the part about wookies in pants.

This is odd, because just last week week I read a couple of clips that said it definitly was not happening.

Glad they were wrong

I listened to the thing a couple more times and Hamill only actually says that GL talked about doing a 7, 8, and 9 back while they were filming. He never says it is still being planned on. There are serveral instances I can think of where GL said he planned to stop after episode 3. By the way I've also heard he was hesitant to make the 3 prequel movies.

I heard him say "They just told me today, 'Hey they're doing 7, 8, and 9.'"

As someone posted earlier, as long as George's little hands stay out of the cookie jar (writing/production) everything will be fine.

I would actually prefer anime cartoons over a live-action TV show.

Not talking about the low-budget stuff like the Clone Wars cartoons. But, really high quality anime, along the lines of Trigun, Gundam Wing, or Kenshin (3 of my favorites).

I think an anime environment would be much more suited to the Star Wars universe than live-action, especially for the budget that episodic TV would be limited to.

As far as Eps 7, 8, and 9...

Eh...I really doubt this is going to happen. And if it did, I really question what kind of quality we would get after being subjected to Eps. 1, 2, and 3...

Thats actually a pretty good idea, though I rather liked the little 5 minute cartoons (even though they were basically teaser trailers).

Based on the success of animated shows in general these days, they should really think about taking that avenue.

If they were ever going to do a 7,8 and 9 they should use Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy. Unfortunately though that uses all the original series people and take places 5yrs after Ep6 where as they are all now 20+yrs older. Would not work to well.

Its interesting to think about but some of the SW books that were written I think are better then the actual movies. Not all of them mind you, some are far worse then Episode 1 could ever be.

Animation in that case would be the best way to go.

Mark Hamill talking about a conversation that he had with George Lucas 25 years ago about a possible 3rd trilogy, when he's said in the recent present that at best they are unlikley, at worst they are not to be, means 7 8 and 9 are still no more than rumour and speculation.

(dont get me wrong, id like these movies as much as the next SW fan, but I just get peeved when people start passing off speculation and hearsay as some kind of rooted fact)

Mind you amine is no substitute for live action...but if there was a TV series it seems like the only way to go for it to work...mind you it would likely need a completely new lineup of characters to work too (KOTOR did this sucessfully so it's not impossible).

But I'm going to go with the realistic crowd...until theres some hard facts set in stone by Lucas himself, it's all speculation and wishful thinking...
