Eh. I lurk more these days. There just seems to be less and less to say until they actually CHANGE something. Autopull was broke ass. All you can say about it. Green Marine started something but that barely got past what we already knew before he got whisked away again. I'm waiting for there to actually BE a discussion again that's NOT the same one I've been having for what? 3 years? 3 and a half? That and my RL has gotten a tad more complicated so I'm not online as much anymore either here nor in game, and I'm in BETA. /shrug

I'm a theatre major these days and I'm working less. My car got totalled and his insurance company is still "trying to get a hold of another of the parties in the wreck" (the guy I got knocked into), so I've been REALLY tired hoofing around town.

I screwed up my response to this post. See my "blue glowie" post.

If I can't navigate this forum, I shudder to think what'll happen when something attacks me ingame again.

Yah I noticed, but whatever floats their boat.

I'm not in this for the star rating system.

For what it's worth, you should get your "Blue Glowy" status after being correspondent, which isn't affected by star rating. If you're leaving the game, it's probably irrelevant anyway On the other hand, some people seem to be still able to post after their accounts run out, so you might still be able to keep a presence here.

First of all, this was a pleasant surprise, Lodek! Glad to see you back on the scene and doing well in your life.

Ditto! Double Dog Droidekka Ditto on this for me. Your commentary is the exact same for me Alpha, except for it being a job promotion instead of classes and car accidents (*crosses lekku*). Maybe I'll see you in Beta.

Meanwhile we all wait on the fence like Charlie Brown and Linus for the "Great Pumpkin Revamp".

Good to see you again, Lodek, but "Good Grief!"

Okay Geevo. Already got one. The guy that hit me has SafeAuto and is only insured for 10k total, which will have to be split between my totaled car, the guy in front of me's busted bumpers, and a nick on a new car in front of him, so it's looking like I might not be getting full value...c'est la vie.

But they're dragging they're feet MUCHO because that was a month ago and they're still "trying to get a hold of one of the accident victims." the guy in front of me. How long can they play that card and hold up the progress?

OK, lets start with clearing stuff up (answer here or via PM):

1. Do you have Collision coverage on your own policy?
2. 10k PD limit, what is the value of your totalled car (check kbb.com ... but it won't be accurate, however it will give you a rough idea).
3. How much damage on the other car?

If you have no collision coverage, you can play hardball and take him to court over the money, but you will need to get a value ofthe actual damages... keep in mind, if he has nothing you get nothing. However you CAN garnish wages (not as easy as it sounds).

How are you feeling? Any pain or injuries? (Pain and Suffering damages may make up for it). If you are hurt, and feel the need of medical attention ... go. Keep in mind, I am not saying fake it or anything ... but you need to make sure they compensate you for your actual damages.

I am so far against insurance fraud it is nutty... insurance fraud = slicing exploit /report.

THREAD HIJACKERS!!

Seriously though...this is what I love about the Smuggler community. While we all may be playing an incomplete class, we can find time to help each other out, both in game, and with RL issues.

Finally heard back from them. They wanna give me 3700 for a 99 Neon with only 66k miles on it. Sigh. The other guy had a knocked off bumper, a dented tail gate and some cosmetics on the front end. The guy in front of him had a ding on his trunk. I waited 45 days for $3700 (this is AFTER we talked them up, the guy was gracious enough to allow a $10 a day reimbursement for all my walking). We didn't BOTHER with a rental car because we knew it would end up costing us more in the end, bah. I hate insurance companies. I have liabillity only on the Neon.

First ... yes Total Losses do suck (for everyone).

Second ... have they provided you a list of where you can get another 99 Neon in Similar Condition for $3,700?

Third ... More info on the Neon please. Presuming Dodge (but could be Plymouth) ...
- Highline Sedan 4D
- Highline Coupe 2D
- Competition Sedan 4D
- Competition Coupe 2D

What options? What condition (Interior, Exterior, and Mechanical)
What is your zip code?

For example, a 1999 Dodge Neon Highline Coupe with 66,000 miles in GOOD condition (98074 zip code) with A/C, Power Steering, Duel Front Airbags, AM/FM Stereo (Private Party Sale) came up at $3,250 value based on Kelly Bluebook.
