Thread: New Planets and Why?
/sigh
Tough audience in here...

Hoth will never be added to the game. The devs have said this before, because no one is suppose to be able to survive a Hoth night.
Great! So we'll actually have another challenge in the game! And what? There aren't supposed to be anyundiscoveredpassages after the Imperial assault?
This mission, should you decide to accept it, will require you to rescue/capture several Rebel officers that hid underground (withsurplus heating units) when the empire struck back. You must accomplish this mission before Hoth sunset....or you will die.
Jedi Academy had a slick little mission to Hoth. "Dungeonize" one and it could be a cool experience. Same for Cloud City.
Okay, for all of the time we've been playing the game and from all of the Dev scandals that we've been through together, we should all know better than accepting for absolute truththat "things will not change" because a Dev said so(e.g. the statement that has become such a popular posting signature about Jedi "in this time period"). I'm not Dev-bashing, but it is relevant to your rebuttal.
And, even without that consideration, just imagine for the sake of imagining, IF it became possible, WHEN the planets that we already have are "fixed", there MAY come a time for a "planet expansion"....
There. Under those possible circumstances...what planets would you like your character toleave his/her markon?
Go 'head. Go out on a limb and pick one. And humor me by telling why you picked it, pleeeeease.
Please with Canape and Klusjo Swirl on top! Pick a planet and qualify it.

This is from Stratics:
1. No new planets in expansion.
This is correct. We're focusing on space combat and exploration. We will be adding two new "wild zones" for players to explore from space. We definitely want to add planets in the future, but our Live efforts are still geared towards filling out the planets we already have. Once we feel that those planets have enough content, we'll expand to other worlds. Also note that the space zones are large and content rich, allowing for plenty of exploration. In a way, they are like planet spaces that you can explore in three dimensions.
This is from the IGN June 11, preview.
"There are ten planned zones for the expansion, one for each planet. You reach space by taking off from a starport, Besteen for Tatooine for instance. The higher level zones are around the higher level planets like Lok, Dantooine and Endor."
There are only ten planets in the game...

As it stands most of the scenery is in different colours but is fairly bland.
