I noticed that on the jedi boards, garva started a new post showing them their icon today. I just looked thru the first 10 pages of the smuggler forum, and only two posts were by a dev. one was the announcement of Wes as our new corr from Tiggs, which she didnt have to stick around and talk to us about. and the other was the revamp: part 2 post by GM that was started back in JUNE but still gets some replies. To me, thats a reinforcement of the fact that the devs try to avoid this forum, they didnt even tell us personally about our new icon, but they personally told the jedi, the oh-so-beloved jedi. pfft

I think this is because Caylin actually beat them to it. If you read through Caylin's thread about the icon, you'll find a post from GarVa in there.
And just so you know, there is a distinction between the Dev team and the forum moderators. They're not the same group of people.

well then props to Caylin for being faster than Garva
but still, not one post by a dev or moderator on the boards of a proff that has been promised a revamp time and again regarding said revamp. or regarding any kind of fix at all for that matter

For smuggler's sake, I hope Zane is wrong, but there is a disconcerting lack of communication lately. I wouldn't say a meltdown is imminent, but it is possible.
My subscription runs out this month (maybe already gone) and I've been playing EQ2. I've had a lot of fun thus far, and I haven't submitted a single bug report in the first week of play. I have 2 full toolbars of specials that work, an immersive environment, and good server stability. As a casual player, I'm incredibly pleased. My complaint isn't with SOE, it's with SOE-Austin.

I wont leave but many people are, this makes me sad. What sucks is i love what this game and my profession could be. Im not one for fairies and elves so Im stuck with the titile and hope that someday someone at SOE will remember that a profession named smuggler is in fact in this freakin game!

I think I've surpassed cynical and bitter...
I think I may need to take a couple days off from the boards.

Well, they have until the 23rd in my case. If by then they promise more jedi enhancements and that 'loot pass' before the smuggler lovin' they promised over 7 months ago.... I guess Blizzard and WoW will get my monthly subscription instead of this game.

We always say enough is enough, and today is the day we stop taking it and we back off. It'll be tiring, but if we're going to hold the developers to their statements we're going to have to keep after them. Our correspondent unfortunately can only do so much so that he doesn't infuriate the development team and lose his correspondent standing (at least that's what I'm thinking). We would have to take it to them each and every time. Every new patch that comes out an individual posts a list of the promises that were made in the thread that lists the new things in the patch. If it's deleted then someone else post it. Are they going to get rid of all of us? They can't...it's bad publicity.
We're not trying to start a riot, but we are trying to get attention to an iconic profession that wasn't tested or tested enough to be subpar. A profession they failed to label as a space expansion profession. All other professions at the very least can do what their names suggest. We can't do anything our profession title suggests. We have trees that could fit in other professions. Nothing that really says we do what our title says.
