For the community to have a meltdown. I'm noticing an increase in posts about no communication from the Devs, the revamp being rescheduled/not happening/getting tossed into the circular file. I've made a couple posts along these lines. EN is back making some posts. It's the same thing spooling up all over again. All we need now is another correspondent to come in here and light our fire again (man those were a fun couple of days).

It all comes down to one thing... we need to be addressed. Even if it's to say F off, I want a statement. They've put us off before, and we've stuck around. I really don't play this game to be a smuggler anymore. I play because of my friends, and I'm just hoping that they give us a revamp before that wears off.

So Wes, how about letting us know you put in a request for them to give us a statement. Even if it's to say we're still working on a plan for when and how to do a revamp, it's better than nothing. If GM comes in here and tells us he's still looking forward to working with us, but he's got the CU on his plate right now, so be it. Just give us (and the SLs if possible) SOMETHING along the lines of communication.

If they don't do something, things are going to deteriorate around here really fast... Oh yeah, and see if you can get another correspondent to come in here and tell us we suck or something... I'd really enjoy another session of that.

i noticed too, we have some cyclic omplaining periods, and they useally end after some vague promises of something that may happen. But today i think we've been patient enough, it's time to ask for solid news, time to get some real attention and acknowledgement. The last time they did something about smuggler wasn't even documented (the power up exploit) so that it would prevent them from coming here. and it failed.

TH doesn't dare to reply to anyone with smuggler skills because he knows he has lied too long, Tiggs may be aware we can get pretty passionated, and GM is caught in hostage on some other thing. Other devs simply don't know we exist.

It's pretty time things change, but well, we all know they won't.

EDIT : editing to add some 5 star love to compensate a one-starninja passing around the boards, maybe a dev laughing at us?

I really don't have a problem with TH, and I really don't think he lied to us ever, but probably just got caught between the developers and us. He's the go between, and some of the promises and things that they have put out in the past have created messes that he's had to clean up. Not a very enticing position to be in, and you really can't win no matter what you do with it. The only problem I've had with Tiggs was the episode during her first day or two where she said we shouldn't have posted our concerns and would be back to listen to them when it was our turn.

Well our turn never came. We haven't heard a peep here in forever. We're In Concept. We're In Development. The need to clarify these positions sometime in the near future because I see a lot of the posts with the same tone that we had way back when.

I see Devs posting that usually don't or never have. We had a great dialogue going with a great developer, and something tells me they (people higher than TH and Tiggs) won't let him come back in here to start it up again because they still won't commit a thing to us.

Just looking for some clarification as to where we stand.

See this date in yellow? That was when the devs got back from Fanfest, over 5 months ago. Now, you would think that from the tone of this post that we'd be seeing some development time between now and then. In 18 days - under 3 weeks - that quote is 6 months old. We've been nothing but damaged since JustG said that.

I wonder if anything will have changed in our profession by the next Fanfest - if they canget both fans of the game to go...

I'm pretty much tired of it all myself.

Lately my lag and load times have gotten much worse and the rest of the way to master privateer is just another grind.

I've been here faithfully since 3 months back into beta and been a smuggler since a few weeks after live.

I'm tired.

Really, I'm tired of being ignored and I'm tired of waiting.

Talk to us seriously or say goodbye SOE...your choice.

As sad as this is going to sound...

I've simply lost the will to care anymore. After a year plus of this BS, I know there's nothing that I can say or do that will change anything, or evena post that I can make to get some kind of Dev attention.

They're scrambling, trying to make the big selling points of the game (JtL, Jedi -v- BH, etc.) work. In the meantime, they're neglecting everything else. Basically, they don't have time to give a rat's ass about us...

So, I sit and wait, *HOPING* that eventually, we'll float to the top of their pile.

Will the CU make improvements? Probably...but at what cost? We don't know that yet...and won't know until we start actual testing.

My long-standing personal opinion is, the Devs got in over their heads with this game. They tried to do too much to put it on the cutting edge, then ran out of time and had to release it as a half-broken shell of what it was supposed to be. They then had to focus on ADDING the content to fill it out, instead of having a filled out game that just needed tweaking. Now that they've got it filled out, at least to the point it was supposed to be at launch, not only do they have a large amount of original launch bugs left to fix, they've also got bugs from all of the major content patches and bugs from an expansion to deal with.

So, they started out in a deep hole that's only gotten deeper.

I'm done rambling now...

I guess the bottom line is, those of you that still have fight in you, do whatever you feel you need to do. But do so knowing that no matter how loud you scream into a vacuum, no one will hear you. As for this broken down Smuggler, I'm riding the bench from here on out. I just don't have it in me to fight anymore. But, I'm not giving up on SWG...and I'm certainly not giving up on this profession. Some day, it will be what we've all dreamed it could be...
