Does this mean we don't need pistols 4 or no more pistol xp required?
Sea of uruk
I taste the salt of you
I hunt through sands of Roba El Khaliyeh
Dumuzi Apzu
Your allure is so very pure
Zi Dingir Anna Kanpa
You shall drown the fearless ones
The sword of Lapis Lazuli Diadem
Your fullness and strength is my delight
Edin Na Zu, Edin Na Zu
The stars have spoken to me
They've told me the tale of your past
Battles were clashed by you
Long before the cosmos existed
O' mountains of Mashu
Please help me to find the grey stone
I lost it, yet it's symbol unequals your race
I am in search of the Northern Nineveh; it's beyond the hills of Zagros
I thrust my sword onto the veil, and then, in the Earth
Reversed lightning strikes Sumerian sands
They glance at me with eyes of Sunkun Varloorni
Their eyes flare red with glowing embers
Follow the path of gold and ye shall find the symbols: Arra, Agga, and Bandar
In my sleeping village of Bet Durrabia, Shabatu forces the nineteenth hour
Ye go to thy Apzu; the unsightly abyss of Enidu
Ye go to thy Apzu; the impious axis of Enidu
I have traveled beneth the seas in search of our master's palace
I have finally found the grey stone of the immemorial ones
I have raised my armies in the lands of the eastern, summoning hordes
I have seen Ngga, God of Heathens, as my sword Diadem gleams
The cosmos shall be greeted from the blood of thez serpent
A serpent well known as Tehom Mummu Tiamat
Man shall be greeted from the blood of Kingu
Thy queen of mashu will haunt the vision of your breed
O' my queen, I feel your skin of white, I touch your breasts of life, yet
there's a battle I must fight
Zagros, Avagon, Ngga, Shabatu
Thy skin of white misses you
Please don't leave me ever, nevermore
Unless you go, please take me with you
We'll ride onto wings of Anzu
I heard the bellow of wolves behind the half-burnt waves
The tides of uruk swept your tongue across the salty floor
We have found the Apzu; our birthplace toward Avagon
We have found the Apzu; our meridian toward the dark
Munus Sigsigga
Ag Bara ye
Innin Aggish Xashxur
Gishnu urma
Apzu

That person you refer to as a "noob" is actually a long-time and well-respected member of this community.
You I never heard of.

Because:
- At its core, SWG is still a fun game. The next few publishes are focused on fixing major elements of what makes the game frustrating. Eliminating hologrinding, improving the Jedi experience, balancing combat, and introducing new GCW features. All of this promises to improve the overall SWG experience.
- JTL is coming. Jump to Lightspeed is adding a completely new experience to the game. It's a lot of fun and its very different.
- Smugglers will get a revamp. I can't say when. If I did, and we missed it, you'd kill me. A revamp will happen.
- No more smuggler B.S. No more announcing a date and not delivering. We're going to put together a plan for smuggler and post it here so you guys can review it. We'll have a plan determined before we start writing the code so you know whats going to happen to your profession.
- Because we will do a lot of stuff you asked for. Better spices. Spice experimentation. No more pistol requirement. A lot more new stuff as well.
If they do answer, another question I would have would be... why should I, or any other member of the Smuggler community, believe you this time after so many broken promises?
- No more broken promises. I had some very frank discussions with several smugglers at Fan Fest. I KNOW you guys are frustrated. We aren't going to string you along. There will be a revamp. It might happen after JTL, but it will happen. There will be a public plan for the revamp ahead of time (possibly soon) that you guys can start tweaking for implementation.
- I take this profession very seriously. I know its flaws. I'm going to level up a new smuggler character, myself. It's very important to me that Smuggler is improved and turned into a fun, rewarding profession.
Forgive me for being skeptical GreenMarine, but I'll believe it when I see it.

I don't think he means changing the prereq, but pistol XP and thus specials that are only useable by pistols, are going to be changed. That's me using some wishful thinking, trying to figure out what he meant by this as well.
I hope so Caylin, because that line confuses me as well. I dont see why they would change the prereqs...and if they did I imagine alot of people would be quite angry about it.

I hope that's what he meant because I have always felt you don't need a pistol to be a smuggler. Best idea for leveling up dirty fighting I saw was thru combat experience even though I can't remember who suggested it first.

You'll forgive me if I don't start shouting for joy and doing cartwheels just yet...
Yes, this is a good beginning...but there's a long way to go before Dev credibility is restored...
