my only thoughts are:

how much to charge for slicing.

how much to charge for a broken sliced weapon.

i'm thinking of a number....followed by a bunch of zero's

One thing I just want to add, the weapon isn't "breaking", so much as it getting "out of tune" or becoming "missaligned". My rationalization for this is that the manufacturer of the weapon couldn't actually make the weapon fire this fast/do this much damage/et cetera and not get out of tune. When a Smuggler slices it, they're essentially pushing the item that far, while knowing that its exceeding its safety limits and will likely missalign at some point. The "repair" that is done is just "retuning" or "realligning" the weapon's components that it becomes functional again.

I believe people are hearing "break" and thinking that the weapon becomes useless afterwards, as in zero condition, where its more along the lines of, say, focusing lens fell out of place or got burnt up. Basicly something to that effect.
