Thread: Quick thought on new system

So everyone's seen the patch notes. What made me interested is that if we customize a weapon as far as it can go ie 100% customization it will break faster and need to be repaired by a smuggler of equal skill. I realized this will greatly benifit a smuggler's personal weapon. We will be able to max out our customization points and not have to worry about breaking in the field beacuse we can simply repair it whenever. So having a maxed otu gun would really only benifit us.

Depends on how good the slices are. If people can really boost that DPS on their favorite weapon(s) - they will take the risk of having to have it repaired every other week.

I have no doubt that most people are going to want that 100% level - even if they can't repair it themselves. Makes me wonder if I want to keep carrying that Master Smuggler tag though...could become a pain after a while.

not sure thats entirely true.. none the less...

shut the hell up!

lest the nerf cries ring out across the galaxy

Actually though it will benefit anyone who has more than one decent gun and the forsight to have a regular smuggler that they can count on for slicing

On the upside, this whole Smuggler of equal or greater ability thing is another step in the right direction of keeping Smuggler a real profession and not just another dabbler playground.

Hello, I must be going. I cannot stay, I came to say I must be going. I'm glad I came but just the same I must be going.

Pain = price. I find a price point where I can accept the annoyance. And I know there's a lot of rich old coots out there. 100k a repair job. Don't like it, stop bugging me.

I usually agree with that - but it is a tag that I'm proud of - so I usually like to display it. I do have the sense to keep myself unsearchable though.

Have to be somewhat careful with that though, I would think. If it gets to a point where having equipment repaired becomes too expensive - then people are just going to stop getting their equipmentsliced in the first place.

What I will likely do is just refuse to repair broken equipment for anybody except Imperials. Then I can charge a lower price and help out my side - while hopefully leave a few Rebels running around with broken weapons. Seems like a good compromise for me.

if there is a way to make your weapon better, then people will do it.
The better it can become, the more people are willing to pay.

if it breaks in the middle of combat, and thus need to be fiddled with by a smuggler, then people are also willing to pay for that.

And im sure there will be Rebels out there with the same plans

What im more interested in, is how ADK's will affect this "breaking" of our weapons ...

all accounts cancled. im leaving this game

It has already been tested, and posted, that ADK's will not prevent breakage from slicing. More business for us

This is a smuggler? Or a weapon repairman?

Just wanted to say it is probably the most sucessful topic I ever started heh heh.

Anyway Smugglers who are down on money will probably want to start hanging out on leave around enemy bases during big PvP battle and just be fixing everyone's guns for huge amounts of money from the enemy. Sure its hurting your side but hey.
