Thread: Master smuggler/master BH how do you do?

If you take away for pistols dont u lose out on defense. Thats why I dont go medic
This was my exact same thoughts that kept me from dropping the pistols line, but trust me the dropped 40 range & melee defense is more than made up for by the heals. Plus dont forget to keep Stance looped which is giving you a very nice defense bonus.
The ability to heal far outweighs the little bit of defense you lose and stopping shot, at the end of the day just try it...its easy enough to get the pistols line back again anyway...just dont forget to get cure efficiency BE shirt to boost each heal.

Boss Mark "Light"- which is kinda fruity and fun. They have about 10-20k health and leave you feeling good about yourself.
Boss Mark "Stout"- you ever get your lip busted and taste your own blood? That's the flavor these guys leave in your mouth. They have about 35-40k and no, they do NOT leave you feeling good about yourself.
I think the original poster is talking about the Boss Mark "Stout"s
Which ones are you talking about Ipea?"Cause I came up on a Stout who was in the water- so he had to swim to me to kick my ass. Which he pretty much did. Even though I KDd- Critical-d and dropped bleeds the whole time he was swiming. And I ain't no slouch. I had foods- spice (of course) decent weapons- I used tactics- but it wasn't enough. He didn't incap me but I wasn't making a dent in his HAM at ALL! So I opened the datapad and dropped the mission to try again for some Boss Mark "Light".I'm on a diet anyway...
It's interesting how the difference between "lights" and "stouts", at least with my template (MBH/MPistoleer, Carbs 44xx) is... well, huge. I can take "lights" with no problem whatsoever, they just drop. And I can't even bring the HAM of the "stout" marks below 75% no matter what I do.
I can imagine that a MBH/MSmuggler would have a much easier time than me as most of my template (the crowd control abilities) doesn't help at all since the marks are ranged - and it's almost impossible to kite without a rifle/cyberarms. But Concussion shot would give you a very nice timeout for healing etc. Also, a template with some Combat Medic would have it pretty easy too because of the innate healing abilities.

Boss marks? I've read nothing of this. What is this that you speak?
Boss mark as in the marks that Master BHs get for their NPC missions. Since the last publish they've been dropping Illegal Core Boosters, BH armor schems (which I can't wear...), and many other fun things like crystals. They're usually 82 elite, but i've gotten 79 elites too.
I'm MBH/MSMUG/0400Pistoleer and I do just fine.I just pop a brandy and a neutron, whip out a bomb droid, then I knock him down and lay the states on and go at it. I can handle the 79s no problem. I've done one where I didn't get shot once, and most of them only take out a quarter of my health. I really hit it big with this publish ![]()
Boss Marks come in two flavors though.
Boss Mark "Light"- which is kinda fruity and fun. They have about 10-20k health and leave you feeling good about yourself.

First thing I do is get close to them so they go all melee on me. Then I pistol whip them to the ground and critical shot em.
I basically switch between the vanilla ranged shot, critical and knockdown. If my action gets low, I switch to my rifle which fires a lot slower so I'm not using as much action. I use concussion shot to take a break (although some of the bosses can heal insanely quick).
I take the blob candy, synthsteak, deutrofjklsa;jk(the ranged accuracy food), spices, and ruby bliel that I use.
Also, Lastditch can be your friend. I won once only 'cause I got off a lastditch for over 5k damage.

Depends on whether you use Carbines and Rifles.
Since the mods have been changed from general ranged to weapon-specific, if you don't use the weapons in question, you can safely drop the lines. Master Marksman does give +25 to general accuracy and +15 to speed though, but for 34 skillpoints. Provided that you're, for example, a Pistoleer who doesn't benefit much from Rifle and Carbine-specific mods, for that same 24 skillpoints, two lines of Pistoleer will give you +55 general accuracy, +25 to Pistol speed and +10 to general speed, not to mention the useful specials. Seems like a better option to me.

not as nice as you think...
1) AOE attacks will aggro all animals around him...you can +root+ but once the NPC takes damage -ROOT-
2) I have two damage shots torso and advanced critical...torso has a bleed...when that ticks and he takes more damage the root breaks. yea you can not use torso shot but that means you have to wait.

Shouldn't this be discussed in the BH forum instead of the smuggler forum?

I was considering a setup that would allow me to keep medical and bacta shot. This way, by using a profession calc, I would end up with Gen. Ranged Defense +165, Gen. Ranged Accuracy +130, Gen. Ranged Speed +65. It would however leave me with Rifle Def +10, Rifle Acc. +20, Rifle Speed +10. And pistols would be +20 Defense, +20 Speed and +40 Accuracy. Does this seem like it leaves me lacking in the pistols department? And as far as the rifles go are those mods even worth keeping or would using a rifle with those stats be ineffective?
