There was nothing wrong with his posts in all of the 33+ pages I've read.

Now let me get this straight...
The GCW correspondent made a post. detailing what he felt, int he players eyes, and his own, was wrong with the GCW, his area of representation, and got banned for it?
Did he at least ask for an oral sex revamp? I mean, was there a reason he got banned, or did he get banned because the Devs didn't like him telling them the GCW isn't what it should be?
You mean that ball suckin' thing? Nah.
However, the thing with Auraboron is he has a history. And by that I mean he has as many enemies in this game as the Jedi do. Whether he deserves them or not I don't know. People were up in arms when he became GCW Corr. And apparently some Jedi believe he has an agenda against them- whether he has posted anything to this regard I also have no clue about.
I DO know that he was pretty civil in that thread- even when he was called out as a non-PvPer but then he posted a picture of himself incapping the person who claimed he didn't PvP. But that don't make you many friends either. And as Keck knows it only takes one person to complain about something you wrote before you end up on a three day time out.
Just like if I had pissed someone off in a post they could point to the first sentence my post here and claim they were offended, even if they weren't, and I would be banned.
I'm guessing something along those lines is why he was banned.
The thread itself was probably deleted because it was so inflamatory AND it was from a Cor.
I think both moves were a mistake and the Jedi situation IS something that should be discussed- seriously- as it IS my belief that the GCW's only hope is to deal with the inconsistancies that come with Jedi on the battlefield in one way or another.
Just don't change anything before our Revamp comes out.

/sigh, figures it would be for no good reason except being "inflammatory."
I've got news for the Devs. Posts about Jedi are not ALWAYS inflammatory! Sometimes it's just the Jedi that reply that are! They're not your chosen sons! Give it up! The favoritism you show to them (and if any jedi does read this, I don't want to hear your various arguments that you're not, get over it, if you weren't they would have deleted your imbalanced and hopelessly futile profession a long time ago) is sick.

From what I was able to read before it got deleted (I was on page 2 or so, and when I went to go to the next page - it wasn't there anymore) the original poster said nothing wrong. I didn't get very far into the thread though, so I can't speak about the rest.
Its a shame that a correspondent can't discuss the bad things about his profession without fear of getting a vacation.
Frankly the whole correspondent system isn't worth a darn since nothing seems to ever make a difference.
Look at this latest publish and you'll see what I mean - I don't recall anyone asking for new speeders, and multipassenger abilities wasn't a real high priority next to all the bug fixes we've been asking for. Rangers were dead-set against the camo packs they can now make. Smugglers have been asking/begging/promised a revamp for 2 years now.
What we ask for and what we get are sadly out of tune.

Not really. For example, when a recent explicit looking for cyber-you-know-what
Anyway, as I said, there's about 50 threads every day in the Jedi/BH forums that get far far worse than the GCW Jedi feedback thread ever did. And I'm not talking about Aura's posts - nothing wrong with them at all, but the silly Jedi flaming on the last pages. Even that was nothing special.
And even if it did get so bad - that's why there's the ability for the moderators to delete individual posts, right? The only ones who should have been banned were the people doing the actual flaming (if it ever existed in such a bannable form), not the thread starter.

Just to play devil's advocate, it's possible he tried bringing this issue up on the correspondant forums and was told to wait on it, and then posted anyway. Not saying it's the case, because I honestly have no clue, but the recent kerfluffle with the former AS correspondant has me wary. :>

the first thing i did as a noob when i started playing was, i asked a player if he could offer me a ride in his speeder. its a nice fix, it adds to the ambient feeling of the game

It also was very likely NOT a development priority. Most likely some guy on the team had some spare time after finishing something he does work on, everything going on was stuff he DOESN'T work on, and he figured out how to make it work. So the put it in, because it was there. This is a point I've made before. Dev teams don't all sit and work on the same thing all the time. Lots of stuff goes on simultaneously, and sometimes someone with some free time managies to kick out a little bonus addition. Toss in an art department that doesn't ahve much to work on after RotW finished up, and bam. Publish 17's vehicles.

Not to trample on everyone's conspiracy theories, but perhaps he posted something inflammatory on the C-Forums that someone didn't like?
People have been known to do that and get banned. Didn't Fish get banned while the CU Alpha teams were allowed on the boards for saying something about his girlfriend (that wasn't really even negative?)

lol yeah I got a week long ban for reponding to TH after he claimed there was 'great communication'. I think it was something about being able to tell my GF that we still communicate after I don't talk to her for a week.

Obviously it's not my call, but I can't think of anything in the correspondent forum that was ban-worthy.
