Banned for three days.
I'm done with SOE/LA. A correspondent cannot even discuss the major issues with their area anymore?
No, Auraboron, the Galactic Civil War correspondent was banned for actually addressing huge problems about the GCW, mainly that Jedi are the only ones fighting it anymore.
His post was deleted and he was banned for three days. This solidifies my intent to give negative feedback to anyone who asks about this game.
Too many cokehead executives making decisions about this game only in the interest of $$$$$$.
As a smuggler/commando, ALLLLLLLL I did during fights was root/KD Jedi with the rocket launcher.

They banned the correspondent for bringing up something many many players are concerned about? WTH....isn't that his job?
So much for getting changes in so that maybe more people could enjoy the GCW side of the game.../sigh.

I don't want to start yet another "forums are going down since CU/the week before CU/my last birthday/...." post, I just see the following problems here:
- The mood here is very aggressive. People flaming each other for their choice of professions
- Things that don't fit in the publicity Sony wants often get removed, many people get banned.
- Some forums are spammed with junk so they are nearly useless. Some things could be worked on a lot better with a Wiki (for example to work on ideas about a Revamp, absically all things where many people work on a concept), so integrating a Wiki software into this would help a lot, unclutter the forums and enable a more productive work.
Except for the Wiki idea I don't see any changes to that on a technical base. And as long as every thread with Jedi in the topic gets a flamefest they can be considered useless.
Even the most serious and useful posts that try to improve the game and address any Jedi-topics turn into a "We shall be 'uber' first class citizens because we 'grinded' for lots and lots of weeks and desever to kick your asses whenever we want to" or "Destroy all Jedi, kill their families and rape their mothers!!!!111ElevenElevenOneOne".

Actually - the thread was pretty mild, even the last pages (and I'm talking about the non-correspondent posts - the Jedi/others flaming), nothing you can't see in the Jedi/BH forums every day really.
You are a braver man than I am, I wouldn't even visit those with flame-resistent underwear and BHPansy as meatshield.

Anyway, the thread was asking for feedback on an idea about the "Jedi problem" in GCW PvP - since no one in their right mind wants to PvP with the Jedi hordes as it's totally impossible for a normal profession to compete.
So, Aura devised a new system where there is another GCW status tier similar to the current Combatant/Special Forces distinction - a new "Elite Special Forces" status would be added, and Jedi would automatically be a part of it.
So, you'd have Combatants, Special Forces for normal professions, and Elite Special forces for Jedi and everyone who wants to declare as Elite SF and PvP with/against them.
Pretty much what needs to be done for proper GCW battles to take place, in my opinion.
The GCW correspondent made a post. detailing what he felt, int he players eyes, and his own, was wrong with the GCW, his area of representation, and got banned for it?
Did he at least ask for an oral sex revamp? I mean, was there a reason he got banned, or did he get banned because the Devs didn't like him telling them the GCW isn't what it should be?
